My Favorite Restaurant in Puerto Vallarta...
by tcapps5961 about La Palapa
Located on the beach in Playa los Muertos, This has to be about the best restaurant I've found in PV. The atmosphere, being located right on the beach, is fantastic. The food is international leaning toward Mexican. The quality of food and service rank right at the top of the list! I've never had a meal there that wasn't excellent. Serving breakfast lunch and dinner. Outdoor seating. Ask for "Rampa" as your waiter. He's worked there 30 years and will take great care of you! Live entertainment in the evenings.***** Fresh seafood

International Cuisine
by spartan about PV, Cabo, CancĂșn, Tijuana & Mexicali
In Puerto Vallarta try La Dolce Vita, Los Arbolitos, La Bodeguita Del Medio, PiPis Restaurant and Bar, Carlos O'Brians, Cheese Burger in Paradise, El Carbonson, or Chino's Pardiso. In Cabo San Lucas I would recommend Carlos & Charlies as well as La Palapa. And in CancĂșn I would also recomment Carlos & Charlies.
All of the restaurants had their own unique character from the Cuban atmoshpere at La Bodeguita, to the extremely fast and customer oriented service at PiPis. The food was excellent and the surroundings were wonderful. Mariachi music, candlelight, dancing, noise, shots of tequila all made these restaurants something to behold. Paella (with curry, chicken, beef, pork and shrimp) and Cuban Rum/Coke at La Bodeguita Del Medio, Fillet Mignon at El Carbonson, Roasted Chicken topped with sauteed mushrooms (with fries and corn) at Cheese Burger in Paradise, the Mambo Combo at PiPis, Barbeque Ribs, Stuffed Shrimp with rice and Jello Tequila shots (2 x 1 @ $20 pesos) at Carlos O'Brians, and the Combo Platter at Chino's Paradiso.

"Bead Necklace Maker"
This man's multi-market-stall abode was packed full of all kinds of bead necklaces. I spent way too much time looking to find just the one or two I wanted to buy. He was friendly, and kind enough to allow me to take his picture.
Only thing was after all that time choosing two necklaces, I found out the prices and landed up paying more than I had anticipated but.. maybe he really needed the money :)
