Cruise Terminal

*Cruise Terminal is located on the Northern Bay of Acapulco
*As you disembark from the cruise terminal, you will pass the first section of shops.
I tend to avoid these shops unless it is a must need ie water, sunscreen, etc.
The prices tend to be a bit higher than in other areas.
*Internet, phones, fax
There is shop here you can log-into, use the computer, send email, make phone calls.
It is a little more expensive than in town, but sometimes I do prefer to get my work done or call home before getting carried on with my day.
Also, if you need help calling home, it may be simpler here since you can get help with that from English speaking attendands

Find a local tour guide to show you around, be careful though! Make sure they speak good English and have a decent car. We were driving through the local area and there are military with machine guns in trucks so you don't want to be taken to places you shouldn't be. As with any location, use common sense.

La Cabaña - Caleta Beach. Great food, low prices, clean, sit on the beach and they will serve you or sit in their open air restaurant! Great friendly staff. Ask for Alex and tell him 'oyo' sent you! -- pics later
On the beach Fish Filet with Shrimp. A great dinner for a low price.
Shopping at the Market Central NOT tourist Market
by circle110
Spend acouple hours touring the Central Market. This is the market the local people use to sell to the tourist. It is a treasure of culture experience. What a wonderful people the Mexican people are. They are smart, charming, happy, and above all industrious. Enjoy the flower market, enjoy the animals, the fish markets, and of course the many crafts made right before your eyes. Watch as they make the Pinatas. Have fun. Take a taxi and enjoy yourself
one weekend away from it all

"A weekend trip to hot Acapulco"
To get out of the city I was offered a weekend trip to beloved Acapulco. This was sometime between 1996 and 1997. We were a couple of colleagues and girlfriends who took a weekend trip to Acapulco, Caleta beach. Later on we went to a disco called News.
