We had been to the old Qualton Club six years ago and loved it so much, we wanted to return. Unfortunately, we were not informed of the change of location. It was an unpleasant surprise. Although the rooms at Playa suites are not bad, the food, the entertainment, activities, and staff do not come close to measuring up to what Qualton Club Acapulco was like. To make matters worse, you don't get any a la carte dinner at the new location (despite the fact that our hotel voucher said "one a la carte dinner per person per week".)
I wish I could turn back the clock and go to the old Qualton, which was excellent value for the money. The new deal at Playa Suites was mediocre at best.
The building that used to house the Qualton Club Acapulco is now the Ritz Acapulco.
Apparently, Qualton is looking to get a new building so they won't have to rely on Playa Suites in the future.
