Hotel Puerta del Mar: A typical nice place
We stayed in this hotel thanks to my job and we really liked it.
The staff was very friendly. There was a nice cosy atmosphere as we do not like the big luxury . Here we felt ourselves in Mexico.
The apartments are standard but very clean and we had a very nice room maid Naty who even cleaned our dished every day.
The facilities of this hotel are very well maintained. Two nice outdoor swimming pools, playground for the children. You can even have bicycles for free.
we also had a night in the Jacuzzi which you can reserve in advance.
I think we will be back.
Very friendly staff. Nice outdoor swimmingpool.

Melia Azul: A Nice All-Inclusive
It was a very clean hotel. The staff were very friendly and the room cleaning service excellent. The pools were very clean and nice to use. There were many activities to choose from if that is your thing. The internet connection was very expensive compared to the rates off the property. The food was standard tex-mex and international. We would have liked to have seen more regional food offered. There was also a charge for room service and not all rooms had refrigerators. This property is not within walking distance of Ixtapa so you need to take the bus or a taxi if you want to leave the property. If you are into all-inclusive, this property should not disappoint. If you want to do a lot of shopping and exploring, the distance from Ixtapa and Zihuatanejo may disappoint you.
There is a very nice view of the ocean and Playa Linda is only a few minutes down the beach. There is a lagoon beside the property that has crocodiles, turtles, and iguanas. Housekeeping makes some really wicked towel animals. They have a theatre that does lip-synch shows every night of the week. There is a soccer pitch on the property and a huge convention center. There are 3 places for massage on the beach in front of the property.
