Posada del Amanecer: Nice hotel with fireplaces
This hotel is the best in Mineral del Chico with nice, comfortable, rooms - some equipped with a fireplace (price Pesos $700 plus Pesos $100 for the wood). The style of the rooms is quite rustic (wooden beans on the ceiling) and pleasant. Make sure you reserve in advance for weekend stays.
The rooms have no phone and no TV - the hotel caters mostly for stressed inhabitants from Mexico City who want a weekend without noise and pollution. The hotel offers lots of activities in the national park El Chico during the high season.
