How much does it cost to go into the city center by taxi or bus? What is the best stop for the city center for seeing sites? Thanks.

there on the cost you will fond colectivo that means bus...
In Mexico, some of the workers live on tips alone, such as the guys that bag your groceries in Wal-Mart and Gigante. Therefore, you should tip these guys each time, even if it is just a few pesos.
However, it is not necessary to tip the cab drivers unless you want to, especially since the ones without the meters generally add a good tip to the quoted price themselves.
This is an awesome mansion from past century with coffee, sandwich, salads, desserts, FREE wireless internet access, drinks and a very nice terrace. The menu is big and the coffee and Chai latte are the best in the city.
They also have a Art Gallery with very original pieces and gifts to buy, but the best of all are the prices. Don't miss it!! Sunday, delicious buffet.

We went on a early morning walk in the historic center of Guadalajara, really cool old historic building. The Guadalajara Cathedral is located here and faces the Plaza de los Laureles. It is an enormous building that is a mixture of Gothic, Baroque, and other stuff thrown in for good measure a result of remodeling during it’s 60 years of construction. The silver altars were gifts from King Fernando VII.
Fountain on Plazza de los Laureles and Cathedral by morning light. The downtown plaza is named for its abundance of Indian laurel trees.
