Bus Fare?

by rnickless

I am planning a trip to Mexico. I will start in Guadalajara and then take the bus to Puerto Vallarta. Can anyone tell me how much the bus fare is from Guadalajara to Puerto Vallarta?

Your fare to PV will run from $30 - $35 dollars, depending on the bus company, and the class of service you choose. Check out the Flecha Amarilla line. The trip takes about 5 hours or so. Have a good trip!

Travel Tips for Guadalajara

Seafood and more, four star!

by m1nkey about Los Arcos

A friend recomended this place and it was wonderful. Lovely, colorful decor. Great service and the food was delicious and beautiful. The presentation reminded me of those gourmet cooking shows. The wait staff was very attentive and friendly and they even had menus in english as well. My wife had a fish fillet stuffed with vegetables and I had a fillet mignon. Bot were cooked to perfection and arranged just so. The desert tray was to die for and the coffee, my favorite, was rich and full bodied.

Handmade art crafts

Buy some souvenirs all around the most visited places in Guadalajara, you'll find in many points this women making Typical Mexican Art craft, that can make great souvenirs. The best way to get great deals while shooping in the street is ask for the price and offer less, is OK to make offers, if you're a good negotiator you can get a price as low as 50% of the original. consider that if you look like a tourist odds are they add to the price.

Another place to buy hand made art crafts is to visit the street market of Tonala, open Sundays.

Guadalajara - big city with small town feel

by L2canada

"The second largest city in Mexico"

An abundance of good places to eat... the smaller, local places offer great food at very cheap prices.
Most if not all establishments serve filtered drinking water.

Taxis can be waived from the street without issues and are very reasonable priced. Most desitinations are within a 20-30min car ride from the Hilton or Presidente Intercontinental Hotels.

People are friendly and nice!
