Luxurious 5-star Hotel
This is a very nice 5-star hotel in a very nice, trendy part of Guadalajara. The rooms are very nice rooms of a traditional decor. There are a couple of nice restaurants in the hotel and a cocktail lounge.
The bell man who took up my bags, was very helpful and gave me a few pointers on sightseeing and nightlife in Guadalajara. The concierge also helped me book onto a bus tour to Tequila Valley. The staff was very helpful and curteous.
Unique Quality: There is a large upscale outdoor mall across the street called Plaza del Sur. There are a few nice restaurants, bars, and nightclubs in the area as well. The surrounding area is a nice residential area that makes for a pleasant stroll. Given that Guadalajara is quite spread out, is a 80 peso cab ride to El Centro and the historic district, and a 120 peso cab ride to Tlaquepaque.
