Fiesta Americana - Puerto Vallarta: It's where the Mexican's vacation.    Check Rates

  • I understand that this hotel was completely renovated after the hurricane in 2002. All rooms have an ocean view (lower levels may overlook the huge free form pool. Rooms contain modern tub/shower, blowdryer (which we could not operate), balcony, coffee pot (for a $2.50 fee), small refrigerator and a powerfull A/C system that required a heavy comforter at night even while set to the highest temperature possible.

We were there in July (the tourist off season) and the hotel is popular with Mexican familys on vacation. They have a well attended 'Kid's Club' program to occupy the children while the parents can relax.

Huge free form pool with swim up bar. Pool is about 4 feet deep at the lowest point. I never entered the pool due to the number of kids and the also the beach had shade. The beach was just beyond the pool.

The beach had plenty of lounge chairs and thach-roofed huts to supplement the palm trees. The ocean was not for the faint of heart or little kids. The water was murky from the nearby river and the water got neck deep within 6 feet of where the waves broke.

We ate at the 'nicer' restaurant the first night and found the food to be very good. The chef at the beach restaurant cooked some fish that we caught while deep sea fishing earlier in the day. It was nice of them to do that for tourists.

Warning-We tried to use the room telephone when we first arrived but were not sucessful. On checkout, we were charged $4.00 for the incomplete calls.

Located 10 miles south of PV on it's own private beach this hotel stands out from the "downtown" hotels.

Find a package price w/air and stay for 1/2 the published price.

Negotiate a "weekly rate" with one of the cabs to take you back and forth to PV. I highly recommend "Juan" in cab # 169.

    Private beach, secluded location.

Golden Crown Paradise Resort Puerto Vallarta: One of the Best in Town    Check Rates

  • Crown Paradise Club is a five star adults only resort located in the Marina District of Vallarta. Rooms are decorated tastfully and fairly roomy with in room bars/refridgerators.

The staff are extremely friendly and will not hesitate to get you involved in daily activities but will also let you relax if that is what you wish. I wouldn't recommend swimming at the beach as it seemed a little dirty. The pool was perfect and is beachfront.

The food was very good and all restaurants were a la carte. If you had the need for a buffet, there is one next door at the vista playa d'oro which you have exchange priviledges.

The hotel bar closes at midnight but there is a nightclub across the street that attracts a lot of locals and your all inclusive priviledges are accepted there.

    Great place, very highly recommended!!!!!

All facilities were outstanding especially the staff in the fine dining restaurant which was fantastic!!!!!

We usually go a day or two right after the Peak Season. The prices dip down considerably, and kids 12 & under stay free and eat free! We're going back this April 23, 03, and we're paying $49 per adult per night, with our two kids absolutely FREE! The following is a description of the hotel that I copied and pasted from the hotel's website:

    All Inclusive:
Include 3 meals daily, all drinks, and some sporting equipment and entertainment.

If your ideal vacation is a mix of elegance and tropic sun in equal parts then you'll love the upscale Allegro Resort Nuevo Vallarta. Located on one of the largest stretches of beach in Nuevo Vallarta, the resort is just a short 15 minute ride from the airport and 25 minutes from the center of Puerto Vallarta, a charming town with plenty of shops and sights to discover. Surrounded by the vast beaches and lush scenery of Mexico's Bay of Banderas, this stunning resort on the Pacific lets you get away from it all in style. The hotel boasts 294 rooms with beautiful marble-floored rooms and breathtaking views of the ocean.

    Dining:
TOPACIO The main restaurant features buffet dining and offers a wide variety of international cuisine with different nightly themes.
CARUSO'S Italian Specialty = Enjoy excellent Italian specialties and fine a la carte dining in Caruso's charming setting.
LA TROJE Mexican Specialty - Sample authentic Mexican dishes at this a la carte specialty restaurant.

    All Inclusive Features:
    Manager’s weekly cocktail party
    All meals and snacks
    Wine served with dinner
    Unlimited alcoholic beverages
    Unlimited juices and soft drinks
    Room service, continental breakfast only
Two swimming pools; one for adults and one for children
    Two lighted, clay tennis courts
    All non-motorized water sports
    Daily activities program
    Clinics for all featured sports
    Scuba lessons in the pool
    Kid's Club supervised activities program
Towel service for beach and pool
Taxes and gratuities applicable to the package

ALL you can DRINK, ALL you can eat. The pool is great, and the hotel is situated by the beach. We enjoyed fine dining at Caruso's with EXCELLENT Italian food that was comparable to an expensive restaurant here in the U.S.

The hotel is staffed by recreational directors and they provide free nightly entertainment (mini musicals) and fun daytime activities for the adults and children.

There was no problem for us when it came to exploring. The taxi rides were cheap. The hotel is only 15 minutes to and from the airport. There was a shopping mall, which I thought was a bit on the expensive side. But, there were also lots of small shops along the beach, which tested anyone's bargaining skills. We were able to take a cruise, which included Las Animas, snorkeling at Los Arcos, and hiking along this dusty trail which led to a beautiful waterfall. We didn't have to worry about the cost of food nor gratuities. On our first night last year, we had to stay at Los Arcos Hotel near the Marina. The scanty dinner good for one person that we ordered at the hotel's La Palapa Bar cost $50 with 2 beers and a margarita. We were in heaven the following day when we moved to Allegro Resort in Nuevo Vallarta.

This special pricing is not available directly from the hotel or from other travel agencies. While on Google, I stumbled upon this particular travel agency based in Florida. Email me if you want the link.

The level of service here is amazing and it's located a couple of minutes from downtown Puerto Vallarta (30 pesos in a taxi). It has a beach to which only the hotel has access, two pools, four restaurants and the rooms are ace.

Hotel Rosita is located in the heart of Puerto Vallarta, right by the famous Malecón, the ocean-side walk-way in the center of the city, right by the main shopping area, restaurants and everything that is going on in Puerto Vallarta. So if you want to know Mexico, this is a great place to start.

    Under construction - please don't rate! :)

Three buildings make up this beautiful hotel and all three face the Bahia de Banderas. Velas Vallarta has excellent service at the pool, and has great restaurants and shops downstairs. Unlike other popular hotels, Velas Vallarta is authentically Mexican and isn't an international hotel chain. Velas Vallarta and its location in Marina Vallarta is incredibly safe. Not once did we feel any threat.

La Jolla de Mismaloya (as each resort, I'm sure) has their theme nights. Every Wednesday night is their Mexican Fiesta. The stage is placed in front of the beautiful Mismaloya bay,...so the background of the ocean is captivating all throughout the show. The energy was incredible (ESPECIALLY after the crowd had their tequila!:) and the entertainment was amazing and talented! It was a lot of fun,..highly recommended if you can go (and we're not really the 'stay for the 'show' kind-of-people, but we had a GREAT time...) Be sure to catch the firework display at the end.
Oh yeah,...another reason to stay for the whole show)...
The stage was always entertaining but happened to be FULL of the fun crowd by the end of the night...MUSIC AND DANCING EVERYWHERE!

(...there was even some 'water ballet' being performed in the pool by the most uncoordinated men in the crowd :-)

La Jolla de Mismaloya was a PERFECT choice for our PV vacation.

Aside from your 'own bay', this hotel has four beautiful pools, 3 jacuzzi's, the grounds are very well kept, service is wonderful, the food in the four restaurants gave us nothing to complain about and MORE to talk about (and if you go all-inclusive as we did, these ALL pertain). Any imaginable immenity a person would want, we found here.
