More about Casa Isabel
A jewel in the crown of Puerto Vallarta
by TripAdvisor Member tapdance
My husband and I needed a little getaway and chose Casa Isabel. We live in Mexico -- but up the coast -- and wanted some city life.
The place is beautiful -- attention to detail is apparent everywhere, the staff is friendly and helpful, the rooms are well appointed and very, very comfortable and clean and the views are indescribable. And, I'm very picky because we run a little B&B in San PAncho and know what it takes to keep things perfect.
Brenda, the manager, is awesome. Always busy, but never too busy to help. She knows everyone AND everything about Vallarta and steered us to some great spots from Memos for breakfast, Dacquiri Dicks, Andale, Cuetos y Cuetos and our favorite -- Archie's Wok.
The pool is sparkling clean but we had so much to do we never even put our toes in -- next time!
The beds are utlra comfortable, there is a fridge int he room for you late night wine or beer and even a coffee pot-- its like being home but better.
Althought Casa Isabel is right in the heart of the Romantic Zone, it is perched on a hill that keeps out the noise and lets in the views. Don't think twice about booking here and make a point of meeting Brenda. Next time we are hoping to meet Isabel and David (who were traveling during our stay).

New Year's eve 2005 the Panaramic spectical of fireworks from around the entire Bay of Banderas from the terraces of Casa Isabel were cherished moments that will last in my memory for a lifetime. There is no view better, of the old quaint town and the entire bay. The ambiance of the owners, Dave and Isabel, their friends, other guests was a festival of warm hospitality. The suites are superb and the price Very reasonable for the value!! The friendliness of the staff, particularly smiling Juan and the availability to have a private party on your own patio, the pool, the closeness to the bars, taco stands, gyms, schools, shopping, coffeeshops and 5 star resturants, all made our visit MOST pleasurable! It is luxury, casual mexican elegance with down home friendly flair. Ahh! I can't wait to return to Casa Isabel and the real friends that I have met there in Puerto Vallarta. Many choices are available when you decide to spend time in Puerto Vallarta. For a guaranteed, fabulous stay with the most hospitable staff found anywhere, make your choice for Casa Isabel. You are close to everything if you opt to leave the Hotel for sightseeing....however, many people prefer to stay right there so as not to miss any of the comeraderie, action, music, parties, special guests, etc.,
If you want beautiful surroundings,a n unmatched view, and information about the area, to say nothing of a host and hostess who will make sure that you have the time of your lives make your reservation at Casa Isabel !
An Oasis from Tourist Hell

Wether it's the stunning views of the bay or the wonderful sunsets, Casa Isabel is truly an oasis.
Why would you stay in a small hotel room, when there is Casa Isabel ?
This intimate property makes you feel like you're at a Spa.
Private pool, two wet bars, two hot tubs make for a great week in the sun.
Our stays have always been memorable, thanks to the great people that own it.
Viva Casa Isabel
A room with a view in Puerto Vallarta

I stayed at the Casa Isabel with a group of friends two years in a row. It is a beautiful villa with breath-taking views of the Banderas Bay and old Puerto Vallarta from all the guest suites. You are just a few (steep) steps from the beach and town, but above the fray. It really is like staying at someone's home.
All the suites have kitchens. The decor throughout the villa is tasteful and beautifully authentic. We stayed in the 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom Casita which feels like a much more expensive suite than it actually is. Having breakfast on the private terrace overlooking the Pacific Ocean is a little peice of heaven. Old Puerto Vallarta (Zona Romantica) is gorgeous, less touristy then Neuvo Vallarta and much more charming.
The owners Isabel and Dave are wonderful, lot's of fun and knowlegable about the city.
Beyond Words -- absolutely fabulous!!!!

I can't say enough about Casa Isabel. It far surpassed all our expectations. The rooms were clean and wonderfully appointed. Our hosts, Dave and Isabel, were fabulous. I felt like family the moment I arrived and it only got better from there. I can't recommend Casa Isabel higher. The view alone is worth the stay. Enjoy.

Absolutely Wonderful

Words can't describe this wonderful Casa and the staff. The views from every patio and room are spectacular. It's difficult to leave the Casa because it is so comfortable and relaxing. The staff and owners are very friendly and accomodating. You actually feel like a part of a family rather than a guest. The suite was very large with a full kitchen, elevated bedroom area, wide open windows with sliders to close if required. . We used to sit in bed with our glass of wine and watch the fireworks go off nightly and watch the stars up in the sky. I'm getting homesick!

My Husband and I found Casa Isabel's on the internet several years ago as we needed a place to stay for a couple of nights because the condo that we usually stayed in was booked. We arrived not knowing what we would find and much to our delight we were at the Casa., with such a warm and friendly feeling with breathtaking views and hosts that are beyond doubt the nicest couple that, if you are lucky enough to stay there you will agree that Dave and Isabel will make every effort to give you the best holiday you will experience in Puerto Vallarta. We have never stayed back at our previous condo, and the following year we stayed at Casa Isabel's 46 nights. We reccomend it to all our friends, and take every oppotunity we can to stay there. It has everything and more of what you might want from accomadation, with close proximity to town but just far enough away from the maddening crowd. The complex is spotlessly clean and the staff are very willing to make your stay most enjoyable, so treat yourself to a GREAT vacation and try to stay at CASA ISABEL when you are in Puerto Vallarta.
Our New Home Away from Home

This was our first visit to Casa Isabel and it won't be our last. We have been to Puerto Vallarta in the past, but usually stay in the hotel zone. We always found ourselves in cabs heading to the Romantic Zone, so we decided to stay there too!! Casa Isabel is in a great location, walking distance to Los Muertos Beach and all the great shopping and restaurants on the South Side. If you don't want to walk down the hill, you can call a taxi and for 30 pesos he is there before you make it down to the front gate. Upon arriving at Casa Isabel we were greeted warmly and felt like we were at home. The unit we originally booked was a studio, but we were upgraded to a 1 bedroom unit. The unit is equipped with everything you would need, including a fully stocked kitchen. It decorated so lovely and was neat as a pin! The staff was so helful and attended to our every need. The best part was meeting David and Isabel the owners. They treated us like family, and invited us up to join them for cocktails almost every night we were there. The view is breathtaking. You have views of the ocean, the mountains and the town below. At night you could see the fire works from the pirate ship. Every moment we spent there was special. We can't wait to visit again. If you are thinking of visiting Puerto Vallarta, forget the chain hotels, stay at the Casa and make it your home away from home. We are counting the days til we can return.
