Sound of the Ocean

Puerto Vallarta was so beautiful & the Dreams Resort by far had the best beach. The best thing about it, was that it was private, with a rock cove blocking the beach off at both sides! No one could get in except by the front desk & gate that recorded everyone who goes through the resort gates, so hardly any vendors, exept those okayed by the resort. Laziness by us.. being able to just lay by the pool, sit early mornings in the hot tub with a bloody mary...
Street Vendors
by meeshelmybelle
I would not recommend spending a lot of time at all the different shops as they almost all sell the same itmes. Their prices seemed to vary a little, but not too much. I think the nicest place to shop the vendors is under the bridge. It is next to a stream and there are large trees creating a canopy over the pathway. It is a relaxing stroll that you can take and shop at the same time. THis is not my fondest memory, i just want to point you in the right direction. The bridge is located about a block south of the city center square.
visit the Malecon in the old...

visit the Malecon in the old part of Puerto Vallarta. There are dozens of restaurants and little shops located along the way. It's also a lot less ritzy than the other parts of Puerto Vallarta, but I like it a lot better that way!

Tequilla is the drink!
by jamiesno
Tequilla is the most popular local drink for sure in Mexico. Some people who know I don't like shooters period thought it was funny to get this picture right after a shot of Tequilla mixed with Grenadine I beleive if I remember correctly :-(.
I think sticking to the lemon and salt is best and is my recommendation :-)
Cooler nights

No need for shoes.....
Clothing, if you're going during rainy season, bring along pants and long sleeved shirts or a light jacket, it can get a little cool. During the rest of the year, it's shorts and tank top weather, around +25. Evenings cool off a little, but still nice.
