Great Hotel
by A TripAdvisor Member
We just got back from our vacation at The Premiere Hotel, July 14 through July 18. It was a great hotel and the staff was very nice and helpful. The food was good and the drinks were great. We were a little scared to go next door to the Buenaventura Hotel because everyone said it was not as good. We thought it was a very nice hotel and the food was just as good if not better than the Premieres food. The only problem was that hotel had a lot of children running around and the drinks were horrible. We met several nice couples on our trip and would recommend this hotel to everyone. Fantastic Food and Service!

This was our second time to Vallarta and I must say, the best. This hotel was fabulous, from the minute you get there you are pampered. The rooms are excellent, all over looking the ocean, the atmosphere was great...very relaxing and peaceful. You order food from a menu and it was ALWAYS superb. The service was excellent, I know I'll forget to include some names but J. Luis, Victor, Armando, Jaime, Orlando, Sergio, J Louis, Gerardo, and Adriana all went above and beyond to satifsy any request. Be sure to check with your travel agent (such as adventure tours) before booking any aditional tours while there because you might get a discount over other tour agents, many who are located at the hotels.
Best place Ever!!!!!

Everything we had read about the Premiere was true if not even better.
The service was great. Everyone was very attentive. The location was also perfect. It is close to everything. The employee's at the Premiere really make it special. We met some wonderful couples and families there that made it memorable. Hi to Lilly, Alex, Fran, Emily, Linda and Doug. My favorite bartender was Jamie, although they are all wonderful.
The rooms are lovely. I definitely suggest getting a Premiere suite with the jacuzzi on the balcony. I cannot wait to come back and I miss it already. Brenda (& Scott)
Great time at the Premiere

Stayed at the Premeire Hotel in Puerto Vallarta August 23 and 24th after staying one week in Villa Del Palmar. What a difference! This is an EXCELLENT hotel! Great rooms, great prices and great food. Most of all you don't have people hanging around this hotel trying to cram a timeshare down your throat like Villa Del Palmar. My advice for anyone thinking of going to Puerto Vallarta; is to read these reviews to prepare yourself for the constant bombardment of people selling timeshares. My wife and I loved the city and the views but were constantly harrased in the supermarkets on the streets and in our own timeshare which just made the vacation awful. But when we finally had enough and changed our hotel to the Premeire it became a great vacation again. The Staff is very polite and the rooms have an excellent view of the ocean and you can hear the waves as you peacefully sleep. Excellent spa also. This Hotel is a great bargin.
Premiere is the premiere place to stay Puerto Vallarta!

Wow!!! My husband and I flipped over this hotel! Absolutely wonderful! (I know this is a long review but it is very imformative so read it thoroughly) Service was incredible, food was to DIE FOR! Rooms were soo nice! And Puerto Vallarta...heavenly!! We had a blast! We went to Puerto Vallarta for our 2 year anniversary, and we will definately be back, and we will definately stay at the Premiere when we go back. So here's why the Premiere is where you too should stay: 1. The Rooms: immaculately clean, comfortable, well stocked with toiletries, bed is comfy, a safe for your valuables, and the view...breathtaking, every room has breathtaking views. 2. The Pool: 2 fabulous pools, with the most comfortable padded lounge chairs you have ever "fried your buns"on. Covered palapas shade you if you get to hot, and the swim-up bar is a must do! The service at the pool is unbelievable, they cater to your every whim! Thanks so much to Jaime (pronounced Hy-mie), he is the best! But all the servers were wonderful. Make sure you order anything, food or drink, from your lounge chair, you feel like a king (or queen, whatever), they will take your order from your chair and serve you in your chair,...soooo cool! And even though tips are included in the all-inclusive price, they are appreciated still, and they like you better too! Cooking lessons were also by the pool, really neat! 3. The Food and Drinks: two words - YUM EEEEE!! 2 dinner restaurants which are all a la cart are indescribibly good! The lunch restaurant by the pool, (and breakfast) is soooooooooooo Good! And they will bring anything to your room, for room service - anything! YOU MUST ORDER THE CHIPS AND GUACOMOLE AND SALSA - makes my mouth water just thinking about it!!! The drinks are strong and not watered down, or if your like me you can order them non-alcoholic and they are soooo awesome! The Mango Madness was my favorite! Also try the Melon Ball, (ps, if you are all-inclusive, they greet you with a Melon Ball when you check in). 4. The Spa - a "must" while you are there. My husband and I had foot massages down by the pool and it was heaven!! We had our drinks and our foot massage and the ocean and the pool and the sun...oh, I'm gonna cry I wish I was there now. I also got a Pedicure at the Spa and it was very good! I recommend any of the services there. 5. The Gym - for those fitness buffs like my husband and I, the gym at the Premiere is state of the art and very nice!! 6. The Staff - everyone there is sooooo nice, before we came we emailed the hotel and told them we were coming to celebrate our 2 year annivesary. When we got to our room, there were rose petals leading to our bed, and more made into a heart on our bed, and a basket of fresh fruit, and a bottle of champagne with a card that read, "Happy 2nd Anniversary" "From the staff" So Sweeettt!! I kept the card. 7. The Beach - nothing fancy but doable. The beach volleyball at the Buenoventura is fun, and the Premiere has complimentary yoga lessons on the beach in the morning, which is really relaxing!! The vendors on the beach were persistant, but bearable. Just say no thanks, if you are not interested, but if you see something to like, don't be afraid to strike up a low deal - they'll take it! 8. Tours - you must take the tour to Yalepa and Pisota aboard the Vagabundo! INCREDIBLE trip!! You hike only 15 minutes up to a 140foot waterfall that you can swim in! The village is adorable and the kids there are soo cute! We also heard the trip to Los Arcos was good. 9. The Taxis - be careful, because these guys are kamakazi taxi drivers!! They drive sooo fast and furious! That about sums it up... in a nutshell, this is the best hotel I have ever stayed at. Puerto Vallarta is beautiful and you will definately have a great time. A little advice - watch the sunset, leave all your problems behind and thank God for your loved one that you are with while you are basking in the Lord's glorious scenery and sunshine. God bless and have a great vacation!!

Villa Premiere in October

Taking our first trip to PV Oct 7-14, staying at Villa Premiere. Any travel tips, comments on hotel, getting around, what to see and do, take with us, etc.
We are seniors, not into partying but plan to see the Carlos O'Brien and anything else anybody thinks we shouldn't miss.
Thanks in advance,

Hi Dianne,
There are many things to do and see...it's a great place to visit. From the flea market near the Rio Cuale to excursions on the bay. The easiest way to get around is by taxi (always confirm the price before you get in the car) or the Blue city bus...very inexpensive and a great way to meet the locals. I'm sure you'll get more tips as people see your post, but if you do a search for PV on this website (upper right hand corner) you'll find many things what will interest you. Some restaurants I would recommend are La Bodeguita del Medio (excellent Cuban food), PiPi's (awesome Mexican food and guacamole made right a the table) and La Dolce Vida (great location, Italian food and romantic). Have a great time...we will be there at the end of October.

Take the buses. They are cheap, safe and fun.

I recommend the flea market too. And taxis are easier, but sometimes they like to charge you more if they think they can get away with it. Local city bus is easy for transportation, see if your destination is on the front of the bus, if it is, jump on and pay 4.5 pesos, which is about 45 cents.
La Bodeguita del Medio (excellent Cuban food), one of my favorites also...
And if a taco stand is busy, chances are it's good food. For good price.
