A Bad Dream

Our first room as pretty, it overlooked the pool but the bathroom was a tiny closet. We wanted a different room and were taken to another, better one. It is forgettable but on the last try we agreed to pay more money for a room with a kitchen. That one was across the street and was very nice. It was not luxurious but clean, large rooms and beautiful hallways.

If La Quinta Don Jose is full, this place is a long walk but clean & good. La Quinta is great, del Ensueno is average or good. There is nice tiling in some rooms, breakfast is served by nice ladies, they have no wifi but an internet computer in their own office which has no privacy. It feels as if this B&B is run by college kids and owned by Americans who visit once in a while. Little attention to detail and no cool extras. Be very careful of the bartender, the one we had was into some odd religion and likes to make converts. A very cold feeling place.

Unique Quality: The pool was pretty and had pretty tiles and plants around it. The best thing we remember is the lovely ladies who made and served breakfast. They were very sweet and accommodating.

Wow, just checked the new website and I think all the photos are from the other side of the street where we ended up. That is new and modern, the original side where the office is, is old and very different.

over-priced

it is relatively cool grounds but poorly managed. Hotel room doors do not properly lock there are no key cards and everything inside is like 20 years old including TVs, electric, linens and bathrooms. Rooms are on two sides of a relatively busy road that is a fair distance from historical area. Breakfast was decent but I hardly enjoyed sitting out in the cold to eat.

Unique Quality: it is a pretty place and you might justify staying there if you use the pool.
