Planetario Felipe Rivera
I started visiting this place perhaps 20 years ago... it was a major attraction for us little kids. We loved to sit in that big round room, looking at the roof, and watch how the lights started to dim and how all the stars, planets and constellations appeared before our eyes.
I haven't been there in years, so I think it must have been improved quite a bit ever since. Anyway, back then they had this round roof top where they simulated the dawn & dusk, gave an explanation about the major constellations and elements in our Solar System, etc.
According to the tourist site of Morelia, the planetarium's dome has a 20-meter diameter. Apparently the shows are given every 2 hours.
Regular: Fri & Sat, only function at 19 hrs.
Sun, only function at 18:00 hrs..... *NOTE* - the tourist guides say that the show is at 18:30, but I got there by 18:20 and they told me it had already started (at 18:00 sharp)!!! I was really mad for this misinformation, as I did not get to see the show... so it's better to get there earlier to make sure you won't miss it!
Vacation period: Tuesday to Sunday 11:00, 13:00, 17:00 & 19:00 hrs.
The planetarium is located just next to an orchid house ("Orquidario") and to the Morelia Convention Center.
