Capitzio: Paradise

This is a world class hotel (5star) it is not air conditioned but in Uruapan you won't need one. The staff was helpful and spoke perfect english.

This hotel is at the edge of the park and you can view the river from the resturant. We had hot water when we wanted it and fresh flowers in the room, the room was more than you could ask for. One day was rather warm and we asked for a fan for the room it was in the room within 5 minutes.

Hotel Moderno: low buget acceptable....

The owner let me to choose the room by myself. There are 2 kinds of rooms - con TV o sin TV. If you want to go to bed early, be sure you have a pair of ear plug- some lodgers turn on the TV very loudly.

1. cheap: 75 pesos per night (2004)
2. good location: just near the zocalo
3. suite con aquacaliente

hotel el tarasco: hotel en el centro

Good location in town center.

Hotel has a bar....this was a plus for me! Also, has a cool pool with a water slide and artificial water fall with hot water!!
