Block 5 is the newest set of buildings, and is the adults only part, as well as having the best ( I think) of the 4 pools there.
You can see Iguanas sometimes in that area, which made for some cool pictures!
This Resort gets a 5/5 for service too!!
If you tip even a dollar, you will get stronger drinks, and the waiters/ bartenders always remember you. A great resort at a great price!!!! I've spoken to people who have been to the Royal Decameron, as well as the Riu Jalisco, Krystal, Vilas Vallarta, Crown paradise, Blue Bay, Marival, and they like the Decameron the best. I'm a definite loyal customer!!!! Have a great day, I hope this was helpful!!
Bucerias - great beach town - great people
"The little fishing village that could!"
Bucerias (meaning "place of divers") is a quaint little fishing town, that is beginning to attract those who don't want the hustle and bustle of Puerto Vallarta, but want amenities of a vacation resort town. Nestled between Nuevo Vallarta and La Cruz de Huanacaxtle, Bucerias is truly coming into its own as a favored spot for vacationers.
Bucerias, which is part of Riviera Nayarit is surrounded by mountains and jungle which donates 345 days of sunshine a year. Bucerias has a steady temperature of 80 degrees F (27 C) during the peak tourist season with a cool breeze at night from the ocean that makes sleeping pleasant. The summer months can reach up to 90 degrees F (32 C) or more, with the worst being August and September. From June to September (the rainy season) you can expect late afternoon showers. August and September are the worst of the rainy months, and can bring large downpours of water in record time. Rainy season is also a time where vegetation flourish!
Bucerias is only about 10 km from the Gustavo Diaz International airport (PVR). You can easily take a cab to Bucerias, or for the more adventurous, for $10 Pesos (about $1 USD), you can take a bus into town. Simply cross the walkway and take a bus with "Bucerias" painted on the windshield.
You can tell by the numerous construction projects and the addition of the Mega store, that Bucerias is growing. There are plenty of restaurants to fit any taste and budget. Try the local favorites such as tacos right on the street, fresh seafood and a wide variety of other places, each unique in their offerings.
"Activities in Bucerias"
There are plenty of tours and activities that can be taken, but for many tourists and locals alike, meeting in the cool evening at the town square is a ritual. While eating a fresh Churro, you can meet tourists and locals and exchange in casual conversations.
Bucerias also has many art galleries and a great art walk during the peak season.
There are many shops in town, and many tourists come to Bucerias to get souvenirs that are less expensive than Puerto Vallarta.
Of course, the main reason to be in Bucerias is that it boasts 5 miles (8 KM) of sandy beaches, the longest in Banderas Bay. Apart from Sundays, where the locals bring their families, the beach is relatively quiet and the number of beach sellers is much lower than Puerto Vallarta. The shallow water and the waves are great for boogie boarding and swimming, and the beach makes for great walks and jogging.
For a picturesque evening, head to the beach or one of the many beach front restaurants just before sunset and enjoy what Bucerias has to offer.
Bucerias has the charm of a little Mexican village, friendly locals, beautiful beaches, great dining and activities. Come visit, you won't want to leave.
Bucerias is a nice little community just 30 minutes from Peurto Vallarta and was just a short walk up the beach from the Royal DeCameron Resort.
Visit there web site at:
There is also a bank machine in this community so great if you need to fetch some pesos!
I didn't know any Spanish at all but the local people were freindly and when I asked if I could take their picture they showed me this book and were trying to make a political statement it seemed.
I wish I knew Spanish it would have been great.
The beach adjacent to Bucerias is awesome and there is 15 kilometers of it...bonus!!!

More of the Royal Decameron Complex (2)
The Royal Decameron Complex is very colorful and makes it a fun place to stay.
These colors are not unique however to the Decameron Complex, I noticed a lot of buildings in Mexico like this.
This is not really a tip I guess, I just trying in some of these pictures to give you an idea of hte look and feel around the resort.
"Adult Pool Bar"
Right next to the adult pool is another bar. You won't find any swim up bars at the complex.
This one is in the shade and makes for a refreshing break!
Throughout the complex there are common areas like this one where you can put your feet up and relax in the shade.
Just another example of the lush gardens and trees. Walking throughout the resort was a lot of fun.
All the trees are not palm trees as evident from this one!
Here I am just getting my picture taken. Not mush of a tip, my apologies :-(
"This is the life!!!"
Sorry about my feet being in this picture but this is the relaxing view from a lawn chair at the adult pool.
Gees I want to go back again now!
