I'm about to go to Monterrey for vacation and wanted to know if they charge to go see the Cola de Caballo if so how much. Thanks
It has been several years since I was there and I don't remember exactly how much the admission was, but it's not that expensive. Also, I wouldn't recommend paying for the burro/horse ride. It's real easy to walk yourself and they don't go all the way up anyhow.
What Matterhorn is for Swiss, Cerro de la Silla is for Monterrey, thes 1,800 meters over the level of the sea mountain can be climbed in any of the peaks, in left peak is a TV channel antenna, in center peak is a flag lance, and in right peak is a cross, this is the symbol of Monterrey.
If you climb the left peak you can find at middleway a teleferic ruins.
Even Monterrey is a big city, they have a lot of traditions. One of it is the music tradition. The acordeon music represent the root and the past of Monterrey when it was a little town. There is a traditional dancing with this music.
Bioparque Estrella (Star Biopark) is an atractive free zoo, where people can see african spices in this huge park. Many others activities let to know regional flora and fauna. It is 40 Km south of Monterrey by National higway.
I had to include a picture of the kitchen, which is what you see immediately to the left when entering El Rey del Cabrito. To my tast the meat is best when it is well done and the skin is slightly crispy. It is basted with onions and garilc, very tasty!
visit the house of the ' sorteo Tec' it´s very traditional. also go to the beer factory, and the museum Alfa, ver nice place.
the house tour it´s very traditional , since 30 years ago, and the design of them is very nice, the factory also is very nice, and you can take a tour thru the factory and drink for free!!!!
