VT is a travel information website, not a hotel booking or travel agency.

If you are referring to a hotel you saw in a member's tip then it is best to google the hotel name and location (if no website if given in the tip). You will then get the information you need and their contact details if you need more clarification.

Every november 2 the hollyday ¨Dia de Muertos¨ (Dead´s Day), is celebrated in Mexico. This is a special day where people build a ¨Altar de Muertos¨ (Dead´s Shrine ) in memorial of any special celebrity, relative or parents. The altar is very especial, it is a mix of spanish influences -as the catholic icons, and ancient mexican traditions as the seven steps, the water, the fire and the ash.
People belive the soul of deads relatives returns to they houses, live parents build the Altar to show them love, they cook they favorite meals, drinks, even play songs, light up candels and get a party for them.

Corn is in da house

by madsmty about La Casa del Maiz

Typical corn dishes from around the country, a different style of mexican food that is based on southern mexican dishes you would usually find in markets or street vendors. Colorful decoration and nice ambience. Ask for a Huarache with Arrachera, or a Quesadilla. Drink a natural fruit flavored "Agua Fresca" (Fresh Water). For dessert try a giant peach filled with ice cream.

Zona Rosa: pulsating Centro life

by Daniel_Williams

I walked to the Zona Rosa which was rich with human imagery. Pedestrian-only Morelos was teeming with shoppers; plenty of stylish teenagers and 20-somethings. DJs spin some electronica at a corner. I happened to pass through while some young indio dancers bobbed, danced and chanted on the corner of the Zona Rosa (Morelos) and the Macroplaza. It's well-done and draws a crowd. Parrots (parakeets?) could be heard from the palms up above. Onlookers watch a chimp, a snake charming young man as entertainment by a storefront.
