  • This resort is located in Tangolunda and sits on its own private section of beach on the bay. We stayed at this resort during our trip last June. We were astounded by the beauty of the resort, the remarkable service, the ease of our stay, and the cleanliness of the rooms and common areas.

Camino Real Zaashila is for travelers who want a worry-free and relaxing trip. On-site, the Zaashila has three restaurants, two bars, numerous pools and sunbathing areas and access to its exclusive beach. There is also a concierge that can arrange extra activities like snorkeling, trips up the mountain, etc.. We used the concierge to find us a fishing captain and car rental and were very pleased.

Upon our second visit we had problems with our reservations. In fact, we'd traveled with family and reserved a large group of rooms way in advance of our trip. To our disappointment, the Camino Real Zaashila could not honor our reservations and were not quick to remedy the situation. I don't know that I'd take the risk again because of my own bad experience but the resort overall is wonderful.

Canadian Resorts: Nice but pricey, close to beach

  • Nicely located.
The mariner/seaman theme was cute. Was nice and comfortable. Only the habitations are fully enclosed between walls so you have a nice breeze in the "corridors" at night.

We didn't have any reservation, just dropped in.

Service was nothing exceptional, a bit pricey overall.

They have their restaurant, tourism service, pool and a small salon which feature a pool table.

In front of the small port of Bahia de Santa Cruz.
Walking distance to artisan shops, pharmacy, banks, playa Santa Cruz which was nice.

Huatulco has a hotel infrastructure of a high level. Five-star hotels are located at the Tangolunda Bay. The Santa Cruz and Chahué Bays have four-star hotels. At the place “La Crucecita”, four and three-star hotels…

I think everyone among us had strange visitors on their hotel room sometimes. Special when you are in warm countries. At least I had a lot in Australia, and also here I found this grasshopper on our room. After taken a picture we put it nice and gently outside were it belong ;-)

Hotel “Suites Begonias” is a three star hotel. It is a very clean place with big rooms and a friendly staff. Colour cable T.V. for people who need that on their vacation.

You can sleep here, watching TV and do everything what you like ;-)

Beautiful lush landscaping, attractive architecture, good to excellent food, one of the most beautiful pools I've ever seen, the best beach, personable staff. One of only 2 non-inclusive on Tangolunda Bay. All rooms have an ocean view - though mine was slightly obscured by palm trees. Delux rooms have plunge pools.

Only criticism - the room is a bit institutional - tropical print bed spreads and curtain, mis-match furniture and no carpets means you may hear your next door neighbor stomping about in the morning. Good bathroom.

Would defintely come here with friends.

The free form pool with built in chais lounges along the water's edge was great for sipping mezcal and still staying cool.

Our air-conditioned room overlooked the pool and the beach, and didn't have that "musty" smell that a lot of beach resorts have. If you are looking for lots of poolside activities and a beach full of sea-toys, this isn't the place for you, but it was perfect for us.

The in-pool chaise lounges are about as good as it gets, and the beach palapas provide shade when you've have enough of the 90+ degree heat.

I didn't stay here but did have dinner and drinks a couple nights. Non-inclusive, only 28 rooms - intimate and lux. Impeccable design, lush landscaping, great restaurant. If you're traveling solo this might be a better option than the 130 room Camino Real.

This hotel would classify as a 3 star in the US. The grounds were clean and well maintained. The room was spacious but HOT! We are from Texas, and can deal with some heat-but this was too much. We finally recieved a fan and this was sufficient to keep us comfortable. We spent most of the time on their spectacular beach.

The beach was beautiful and the pool was nice as well. I think we used the pool one time-just to go to the swim up bar. The pool was packed with Mexican vacationers where the beach was empty-bonus for us!!

The food was mediocre, but hell-what do you expect for all inclusive? Also, I think they were putting some kind of filler in the food because after a couple of bites I would be full for the rest of the day! I can put away some food, but even after whitewater rafting for 8 hours, I was still not very hungry.

One great feature of the hotel is that room service is included in the all-inclusive deal. We would order breakfast every morning and enjoy it on our ocean front patio.
