Travel Tips for Querétaro

Girls, please note:

Even Wal-Mart follows local norms and carries 17,000 brands of pads/shields. If you use other products, bring them. How embarrassing would it be to have to ask for these Other Products to be sent in your next care package? Give me a week and I will be able to tell you how embarrassing.

The Aqueduct

by JessieLang

The aqueduct is an engineering marvel, built between 1726 and 1738 to bring fresh drinking water to the city. There are 74 big sandstone arches, with a canal that ran across the top. The tallest one, toward the hills, is 69 ft. high, and the others are just enough lower for gravity to carry the water along.

You can get a good view from the hill where the Corregidora's mausoleum is.

Mi Querido Queretaro

"Queretaro"

Queretaro is a beautiful city which holds a special place in my heart. I first travelled to Queretaro as an exchange student in 1996. From the very beginning I realized that this was a very special place. The people here are very friendly. The city is very clean and is always full of people sweeping or mopping the streets and sidewalks. The food is awesome. Above all for me, the "discos" are the biggest, funnest and most exciting places I have ever been! Queretaro is full of culture and history and if someone is thinking of travelling to Mexico this is the number one place that I would recommend that they visit.
