Don't stay there.

The short version is that I felt ripped off. I would not stay here again. We were quoted several prices for the lock for the room. The elevators are big enough for two people and two cases and most of the time they were broke down. The drinks that came with the all-inclusive were ghastly. The food wasn't much better. The room was nice with a nice view of the ocean.

Great hotel

Great hotel, terrific service. Food was average to good. I would recomend this hotel, unless you want to swim in the ocean, then this isn't the place for you.

You will not want to leave

The hotel was the best we have been to in Cancun. The food was great. The drinks can be great if you take care of the bartender. The grounds were nicely decorated

All Inclusive party place

Good food-great rates, fine swimming pool, all drinks were in the deal. There is really nothing more you need in a place to stay in the area. You'll end up paying a lot more and walk away disappointed. Sure there are more"luxurious" spots, but if you want the most mileage for your $$$$ then this is the place to go to.

TUCANCUN BEACH RESORT --- RESTAURANTS

There are four restaurants at TUCANCUN.
EL CAFFE --Breakfast Buffet 7 -11:30
Lunch Buffet - 1- 4:00
Dinner Buffet - 6 - 10:30
LA TERRAZA - Mexican Restaurant
-6:30 - 10:00
-a la carte service
-reservation is required
ROMANZA - -Italian Restaurant
- -Breakfast Buffet 7 - 11:30
- - Dinner Buffet -6 - 10:30
CLARABOYA - Snack Restaurant
- 12: -4:00

Unique Quality: I really enjoyed the breakfasts here. The staff greeted us with a big smile and after two weeks got to know us pretty good. Hans was "El Capitan" .
The buffet had all those tropical fruits like pineapple, papaya, grapefruit, cantaloupe. You could also have apples, bananas, pears and yogurt.
Hot items included a potato, meat (sausage, ham or bacon) refried beans.
The cook can serve you up an omelet, pancakes or eggs anyway you like.
Also many rolls, croissants to choose from.

TUCANCUN BEACH RESORT --- WHITE SAND BEACH

Cancun has beautiful white sand beaches. Some areas do have undertow, so use caution when swimming.
The majority of the hotels' beaches indicate the intensity of the wave action currents with colored flags.
GREEN --- Calm
YELLOW -- Caution
RED -- Danger
The beach was also the location for beach volleyball ( Losers have to roll in the sand)

TUCANCUN BEACH RESORT --3 SWIMMING POOLS

There are 3 swimming pools at TUCANCUN BEACH RESORT each with their own purpose. The sports and activities pool is obviously where all the action is. You can participate in water volleyball, aerobics, different water games for prizes like T-shirts and drink mugs. The activities start at 10: a.m. with stretching exercises and continue until 5: p.m.
The lounging pool is exactly that. They even have lounges built right into the pool which is kind of neat. So if you want to relax and read that book, this is the spot.
The third pool is the smaller children's pool and play area.

FUN ALL-INCLUSIVE RESORT

A lovely Mexican-style hotel TUCANCUN BEACH RESORT & VILLAS is right on the beach, in the hotel zone close to shopping (Kukulcan Mall is right across the street) and restaurants.

Unique Quality: Tucancun has 315 rooms, 3 pools, 4 bars, 2 buffet restaurants, 1 a' la carte restaurant, snack bar, tennis court and gift shop.

TUCANCUN BEACH RESORT --- NIGHTLY ENTERTAINMENT

Every night there was entertainment. Tuesdays were usually "Mexicano Night" with a Mexican dinner show. There was also "Casino Night" where the theatre hall was turned into a mini casino using play money. I had a great time playing the roulette table. One night was the "Sexy Man (Lady) Contest and of course Hans was picked to participate. He did such a fantastic job and was so funny that tears were rolling down my cheek, I was laughing so hard. He may not have won but to me he's the best.

We stayed All-Inclusive at the Tucancun Beach Resort & Villas (we stayed in the hotel, but there are beachfront villas to rent also... kinda spendy mind you...). It was a great resort, really geared toward fun for us young'uns... the entertainment staff kept us entertained all day & all night... The food was delicious, abundant and all-inclusive (!!), as were the drinks... nothing like a smooooth Pina Colada for breakfast.

I was looking at hotels but i heard that in many places like Barcelo Tucancun you have to be 21 to check in, is that true?

HMM, I'VE HEARD OF SO-CALLED PLAYBOY HOTELS WHICH MIGHT BE THE REASON.

Definitely will depend on hotel and time of year you are planning to visit. During spring break period most hotels require one person to be at least 21 - those closer to the party zone are more lax on age requirement. Other periods most hotels will accept 18.
