club International...cancun
by TripAdvisor Member springlakelover
we planned on going in a day earlier knowing that we would have to pay for a night....so we called and were quoted 189.00 USD...We got there and we had to pay 495.00 plus tax USD...we were furious and still are.. we went through RCI and exchanged a week for Cancun....We also cut our vacation short due to committments...you can't tell me that these vacations clubs don't make a bundle... who's to say they didn't sell our last two days to an another American the same way.....never again...the onsite consergie tried to help. I bet if we bought another property everything would have been taken care of. Honesty is the best policy!
Loved Club Internacional De Cancun! Family Fun in the Sun!
by TripAdvisor Member krdotson
We exchanged for Club Internacional and thouroughly enjoyed ourselves.
Great Points:
-Tropical Ambiance
-Quiet Family setting
-Beautiful Gardens-Resident Iquanas reside outside the El Castillo Restaurant
-Well Maintained Resort
-Super Freindly, helpful staff
-Children & Parent activities everyday-Create your own colorful ceramic souvenir to take home-my favorite
-Excellent Breakfast buffet with a wide variety of choices. Yum!
-Themed activities at the La Palapa on a nightly basis 6-10PM
-Captain Hook's Pirate Adventure travels past the Resort every night
(Fun to watch the Galeon Replicas at dusk)
Poor Points:
-Balcony doors not child proof
-Inappropriate adult behavior allowed to take place "on the beach" under the watchful eyes of the resorts beach security-which tainted the "Family" orientation of the resort.
Other than those few points this resort is as close to perfect as it can get!
Didn't want to leave!

We stayed at Club International from March 24-27. It wasn't long enough! Our 5 year old cried because she didn't want to leave. This is a wonderful resort...large, clean rooms, beautiful landscaping, excellent service, delicious drinks (strong even during happy hour!), nice beach and pools. We can't wait to go back and stay a full week. You will love it!
Spoiled Rotten

We spent a week at Club internacional with our three children, ages 10, 9 and 5 at the end of December thru beginning of January. We had an amazing room with an upstairs, two bedrooms, two bathrooms and an ensuite. The waterslide was fun, but made of concrete so after a day of using it, your tailbone was a bit sore and your bum was showing because the suit was worn out, but what is wrong with showing a bit of skin?!?
The employees were polite and helpful, meals were amazing, and most of all the kids had a great time. The loved the art class, pinata day, and we loved sending them for drinks for us. We will definitely be back.....
Awesome Vacation!!

My husband, two children and I stayed at VCI for 1 week in June. It was simply the best vacation we have taken in a long time. The grounds are beautiful and the villas are in like new condition even though the resort is approaching its 30th year. My husband and I were able to relax with icy drinks under a palapa, while our children played in the very calm water. They were intrigued with this beach, finding many different species of ocean life each day. This resort has wonderful service, and all of the employees are friendly. If you are looking for a nice calm tropical vacation, away from the atmosphere in the hotel zone, you will love Club International.
loved club international

My husband and I and our two teenage daughters spent a week at the Club International and hated to leave it. Our 2-bedroom, 2-bath villa was spotless and very well equiped. The grounds of the resort were kept spotless as well. We loved the outdoor restaurant and the wait staff was very friendly, helpful and attentive. We never felt rushed after a meal, we were just able to sit there and enjoy the scenery. Everyone who worked there was very nice, welcoming and informative. We loved our private concierge-Goran. He had some great suggestions and really went out of his way to make our stay there memorable. The only complaint, and it is a small one is the beds were hard but nothing to loose sleep over. The beach at the hotel is small and shallow... for great body surfing go to the sister resort, The Royal Sands and the water is great there for body surfing. We would definitely go back and I only wish it could be sooner than later.
The Perfect Vacation

This was our first trip to Cancun. We are members of Interval International; our timeshare is in Cabo San Lucas. When we put our condo up for exchange and saw our choices in Cancun, we weren't too sure about VCI, but decided to throw it into the mix of hotel choices. Am I ever glad we did! I just can't say enough about the entire experience -- from the hotel itself to the staff... the food... the peacefulness... in a nutshell, it was the absolute perfect vacation. In fact, it was so wonderful that 3 weeks after arriving home in Seattle we put our condo up for exchange again -- and specifically requested VCI in Cancun. I'm thrilled to say that we got our request, and will be back in January, 2006. The villas have everything you need -- we especially appreciated the full-sized kitchen. There is a laundry facility on-site; you can do your own, or for about $5 you can have it done for you.
The bus system is absolutely wonderful in Cancun, and for 60 cents you can't beat the price. There is a Super Wal-Mart in downtown Cancun, and there are several busses that goes through the Hotel Zone every 5 minutes or so that will take you there -- or anywhere else in Cancun. The busses are very clearly marked, so there's no mistaking which bus to take. We took the bus to the Super Wal-Mart, stocked up on breakfast foods, water, beer, etc., then took a cab back to the resort. Upon our arrival back from Wal-Mart, the bellhop immediately grabbed a cart to help us with the groceries... and even unloaded them into the fridge! You just can't beat this level of customer-service.
This definitely isn't a place for partyers... and while it seems to be family-friendly, we saw very few kids there. One plus to the location is that you can enjoy the peace and quiet during the day, and take a 60-cent bus ride (or $4 taxi) into town and let loose!
We would (and have) highly recommend this resort to anyone wanting a beautiful villa with friendly staff and great food... and all at a very reasonable price.
A Wonderful Place

We just spent a week at Club International. My wife and I both loved the place. The rooms were spacious and functional. Everything was very clean and well kept.
The grounds and pools were exceptional, as was the beach. The employees were exceptionally well trained and attentive, as well as being extremely nice people. We hope to go back again next year. Our only disappointment was the quality of the food at the beachfront restaurant.

can't comment on those hotels but just wanted to make sure you are prepared for it to be VERY hot and humid.
