Our Winter Getaway
We just returned Jan. 12 from our 7 day stay at The Crown Paradise Club Cancun. We had a wonderful time at this resort. There were 8 of our family members on this vacation. We ranged in ages from 53 to 7 and we all had a great time. This resort truely has something for everyone. We really enjoyed Waynes Boots, we ate there twice. I know some were complaining that this is a resort geared toward kids but we met alot of young adults there without kids and they were having a great time too. We asked our children ages 14 and 11 were they would like to go on our next family vacation. Even though we gave options like St. Thomas and Jamaica their answer was Crown Paradise Club Cancun. We will be returning.
Unique Quality: The staff here was great. Everyone was very helpful and we did not have to tip for everything as others stated. Shout out to Luis who makes the best Cosmos. The snackbar at the pool makes great chicken wings, we enjoyed some everyday. The facility was every clean and you could see them taking care of it all the time. There was security at the resort 24 hrs., we always felt very comfortable at the resort.

great for kids
We stayed there in February 2010 with 2 kids and my in-laws.
The kids had a blast. The place is overrun with kids since they offer "kids-stay-free" for most of the year. The breakfast was ok with a nice omelette station, great chicken wings (I'm from Buffalo) at the poolside snack and great sushi but long lines for everything (food and drinks at the bar).
You need call to make reservations every morning for the restaurants for dinner. It takes an hour and IMHO the dinners were terrible. We tried the steak (Wayne's Boot) seafood,french and italian: all were equally disgusting. The mexican restaurant was halfway decent with a cute mariachi band.
Unique Quality: kids loved it, kids made a ton of friends

Horrible Resort- Moved to another one the next day
I was at this resort in April, It was the worst resort by far as I have travelled to cancun many times before. The rooms were stuffy and hot, the temperature in the room was so high, we complained and not one answered our concerns, it was so hard to sleep. The bed was stiff and damp. The pillows weren't actually pillows, they were lumpy cushions the worst. The food was terrible, hardly any restuarants were open, the service completely sucked. The resort is old, not renovated at all. There was no fridge in the room so everytime you needed water or a drink you had to go to the bar to get it.
As soon as we got there we realized we would not be happy there and it would be terrible to spend a whole week there, so on the second day when we went for our briefing, we told our Nolitours rep to move us to another resort which we've stayed at before because we were completely not happy with this one and she did just that. Within the hour she arranged for everything for us and told us to check out and walk over to the other one which was GRAND OASIS PLAYA (10 times better). We will never go back to this resort. Plus this is definitely a family resort as everything there is geared towards kids and there are kids EVERYWHERE, nothing really for adults. If you are adults with no kids DO NOT GO TO THIS RESORT, YOU WILL NOT ENJOY IT ONE BIT.

The wost family vacation ever!!!
I just wanted to tell someone about my stay at this resort and i hope you are the correct one. I'm not even sure were to start but i will start with the good. The weather was great the Hotel was clean people were very nice and we did get a bed to sleep in so from some of the people we talked to we were lucky.
On a bad note this was the first all inclusive that was not all inclusive if you wanted anything you need to tip everyone the one bar even had a tip jar out. The pool and beach were beautiful but you couldn't get a seat anywhere. The first 2 days we had to lay in the sand!!!!! I have never in all of my years traveling had to pay for a vacation were i had to sit in the sand after the 3rd day and now my back was out from lying on the ground i was told that you had to get up at 4:30 in the morning and put your towels on a seat if you wanted to sit in a chair. Like a dumb ass i did that because of my back. The last day i tipped the lifeguard and only got 2 chairs. When we got there we were told that we need to make resorvations for the restautants but when we called they were all booked no surprise there. When we went to the restaurant they were empty so not sure how come they were saying they were booked. Again the only way to eat at the nice restaurant was to tip them then what do you know they found us se ats. You can believe that i would NEVER NEVER IN A MILLION YEAR RECOMMEND THAT RESORT!!!! I can't believe i had to pay for that. I feel like i need a vacation from all of the stress that was on this vacation. this will go down as one of the worst family vacations ever!!!!!

family resort
I feel the below review is unfair & wrong. We travelled with 2 boys 5&7 & we had a very good time. The hotel is very clean & there is plenty to do. our boys enjoyed the kids club as there are different activities every hour. The food was plentiful & a good variety. We really enjoyed the Japanese by the pool for lunch. The drinks do come in small glasses but there was never a a problem in getting a drink. Trafalgars was a nice bar at night to sit back & unwind. Our favorite restaurant was Fishermans. The seafood was excellent & service was outstanding. Waynes Boots was a good night out & the steaks were average.
All in all a good place that doesn't deserve tha bad rap 1 unhappy customer submitted.
Unique Quality: Lots of pools & very friendly staff.

Small Adults Only All-Inclusive
My sister and I stayed here for 3 nights last September, and it was free through my work so that made it even sweeter. The food/drinks were great, rooms large with beautiful views.
Unique Quality: Huge bathrooms, 4 or 5 restaurants on site, giant pool, water sports included.

Crown Paradise All Inclusive
Stayed in 1998, so this may be outdated. The beach at the time was nice but you couldn't go into the water from the hotel beach because there were dangerous rocks on the beach. Enjoyed the all-inclusiveness of the hotel - drinks any time you wanted at no charge and the buffets were adequate. We did eat a regular meal in the hotel but it wasn't that memorable. Took a FunJet trip and felt it was worth the price. We also took a side trip to XCaret which was fun.
Unique Quality: Liked the accessibility to the beach. The pool was nice and well kept.

Cancun All inclusive
We stayed at the Crown Paradise Club between 15th - 29th June 2005.
Service was excellent, the reception helped you quick and effiecent with a smile, the facilties where very good, big rooms, tv,mini fridge and bed was huge. We stayed in standard rooms as well, a safe deposit in room with key and clean towles everyday. Also provided was a beach towel per person.
Beach is smaller than about 3 years ago but its clean and more than big enough, there are a few rocky areas, but all you need to do is walk about 5 meters and you are past it.
Everyone worked so hard to make your stay was comfortavle and enjoyable.
Cant say thankyou enough to all the people who worked at CPC.
If you get a chance please pop into Traffalgers bar (Carlos, Lois and Miriam) and say Louis and Amy said hello from england, thanks for looking after us and we miss you.
Unique Quality: There a 7 restaurants, 50s style, American(steaks),Italian,Mexican,Fish,Japenese and a food court. There is also a midway stop from 9pm - 6am that serves burgers hotdogs etc.
We found the food to be exceptional and a wide range. Waynes boots(american) was our favourite followed by the food court.
Wasnt to keen on the mexican as thought it was a little bland but the wide range of food out lets was incredible. Something for everyone.
There 2 main pools outside, one partially indoor and a adults only on the 1st floor.
All were good, we found the adults only a lot less crowded than the others.
Lots of activites going on throughout the day for adults and kids at the main pool, even early morning bike rides. The hotel entertainment staff work long hours and work really hard. They even take you to a different nightclub each night (meet at 10.45pm in reception).
All views from balcony are facing see, a wonderful view to wake up too.
I think this hotel gets the balance just right, we even went to see the sister hotle golden crown paradise which is adults only and to be honest it was quiet in there hardly anyone in the bars. If you require anymore info or pics im more than happy to help you, just contact me.

Very nice!
I stayed at the Crown Paradise in Nov 03.
We upgraded to a Club room - so we had jacuzzi in our room... very nice! The rooms are great - very large, sat tv, cd player, mini bar and the bathroom was amazing - the shower alone was as big as my bathroom back home!
There are about 4 additional resturants as well as the buffett - you have to ring up to reserve them, but they are all really nice.
Unique Quality: Pools were all really nice, but they do get very busy - you have to get up early if you want a sunbed!!

Fantastic Resort for Everyone!!
The accomodations were first class. We had a crown club room which was on an adults only floor with in room 2 person jacuzzi. The room was tastfully decorated with a great view of the ocean. We also had access to the club lounge which was a nice quiet oasis to enjoy a drink with a fabulous view of the resort.
Unique Quality: Some of the best restaurants offerring a wide selection of food. Anything from tex-mex to steakhouse, seafood, mexican, international. All kinds and fairly lively bars and pubs for adults and kids.
Great beach and pool facilities. Don't miss out on the adults only pool and bar area on the second level of the main building.

Hi Mat...the weather there is terrific in Oct/Nov. I say that as someone who lives in Alaska, but nontheless hi 70's to low 90's are commonplace. Make sure you guys visit the Mayan ruins while your there. Also, if either of you dives, there is fabulous scuba diving from Cancun (and just a short drive down the coast at Cozumel its terrific diving also). Have a great honymoon and congrats to you! Phil

Many thanks for that, much appreciated. We were worried that we had picked a bad month and may get swept away by a hurricane. Do you know much about the hotel we are staying in - the crown paradise? also is it very expensive there?

Yes you are stil in hurricane season. It is the tail end but still possible.
