An all-inclusive resort set in fabulous gardens, with huge well maintained rooms, stylish interior throughout all public areas, relaxed informal atmosphere, helpful and friendly ever smiling staff, huge array of amazingly delicious food, never ending cocktails made to order, beautiful giant sized swimming pool, set right on a gorgeous turquoise sea/white sand beach, hilarious all day entertainment, convenient location with a bus stop right outside................loads more too, in fact, everything you could wish for from a 5 star hotel!!!

I really think it would be hard to be disappointed staying here!!

Before arriving, email the hotel and request a high floor; the views across the Caribbean sea are truly spectacular :-)

  • We were impressed with the grandure of the building, and taken aback by the lack of ac, man was it hot in there
We were assigned room186. The first impression was the awful smell of mold, and mildew. I opened the balcony glass door to let in some fresh air, and noticed that our deluxe ocenview room faced a next door condo Knowing we were stuck for the time being we decided to make the most of it. It was getting late in the afternoon, and we didn't want to waste any time sulking over the undesireable conditions, we started to clean up to go out for a bite to eat. There was no hot water for showers, I'm not one to nit pick, but after a long day of travel, I like a nice hot shower. When I tried to call the front desk to inform them I got no answer so we all went over in person.
After hearing my complaint they lied and said the resort was having a problem and none of the rooms had hot water. I know this because we asked around, and also the public restrooms had plenty.
We went to the Albatross for the buffet style dinner. The food was barely palatable.
We ate what we could and went to the pool. The grounds are perfect the pool is immaculate. The entertainment staff are wonderful and talented people.
One note when you order a drink ask for a double and you might get a little alcohol in your drink. I'm not a heavy drinker, and my wife rarely drinks at all, and neither of us had the slightest hint of a buzz after several drinks each. The cups are small like others have said so we had a couple of 16 oz tumblers of our own.
On Wednesday we were moved to room 407 All the sudden it was like being in a nice resort our water was hot the front desk answered our calls we had towel animals our mini fridge was filled and the liquer cabinet was full. The view from our balcony was great.
The food never got any better. The Steakhouse was ok, the Medetrainian was slightly better but not much and we never did try the Japanese resturant. The only meals that were any good was the breakfast it was fresh.

Pool and grounds 10 out of 10

  • I've never stayed at a resort that was this nice. It was exotic & family friendly all in the same place. The staff was amazing. Everyone spoke English & was always willing to help....whether it was carrying your bags or your drunk self to your room. The rooms were cleaned every day & the resort itself was extremely clean. Like most other all-inclusive resorts, they tell you not to tip....these employees would NOT accept any tips....no matter what it was for. The private beach was cleaned every morning at 6am so that even the earliest risers didn't have to deal with sea-weed. There is a multitude of activities & are all easily accessible from the hotel.

There are 2 huge pools in this resort. They try to keep the families on one side & the "partiers" on the other....which I think is great.
