Ive been there often. I found May to be the best all round time to go Cancun.W ater is perfect temp., wave are not to bad, Temp great (water in the upper part of the 7 is always calmer, almost like a bay). Not to crowded not to empty ( parts of Dec. & Jan are fairly slow and the water is choppy with a bad under tow). Cancun in May is from 75 - 82/90. Interior is 85-98 with high humidity.
The place is unreal. The end of August is hot, water great, Mexican children are back at school and a Mexican holiday ends at the end ot the month. Get the insurance if you can, its worth it for peace of mind in case of hurricane or personal problems.I love the place, all of Quintana Roo, the state you will be in. The water is truly the colors you see in the photo's. Hypnotizes by the water.

Once Frans even in his sleep kept me away...first there was this big glass of water that he smacked over me...yes he was sleeping...and then he was trying to get MY blenket.... I dont like taking sleeping pills....so i just think i am a strong person ha ha.... When I, the wreck, hit ground and we had a good flight, and i just stap out into a new world...my wreckfeeling is gone and i feel energy poring trhough my vanes!

I truly love the warm water of the Caribbean sea. I could spend over an hour at the time, swimming and just feeling like a kid inside the turquoise color ocean water. Therefore my recommendation is do the same, spend as much time as you can bathing in these great sea water. Very modern and up to date. This resort has everything for just relaxing and enjoying yourself.

Cancun is divided into two areas - Downtown and the Hotel Zone (an island shaped like a '7'). The east side of the island has more waves than the north side, which is protected by Isla Mujeres...and during high tide some beaches may not be accessible. Staying at a hotel located in the northeast corner (near the convention center) will give you easy access within walking distance to some of the best clubs and restaurants in the area.
There are a number of shopping malls in the Hotel Zone, but you will find better prices downtown. Our favorite shopping mall in the hotel zone is the new La Isla Shopping Village.

The Couple picked their gorgeous rented villas as the location for the wedding reception. The wedding package included the villa rentals, the catered dinner, and the cake!!
They also threw in a hair stylist and make up artist as well. It's "One Stop Shopping" for a wedding in paradise!
There was even room for a little romantic prelude to the "honeymoon:" The couple's FIRST DANCE
