If you think the WEB site looked great, then you need to see this place in person because it gets even better. Spotlessly clean, superior linens and first class breakfasts, along with warm hospitality made this location our NUMBER 1 VACATION RETREAT!!We have stayed in many places in North America and Europe and this tops our list.Thanks again Kathy and Dale for a great time!!Dave & Pam
From the time you arrive and are offered a cocktail (first one is on the house!), to the breakfast of fruit, yogurt, sweet breads, and waffles (or pancakes, or egg tacos, or banana pancakes or...), the day's post mortem around the outdoor kitchen and pool with other guests, and are regaled with Dale's stories and jokes or plied with Kathy's killer margeuritas, Dale and Kathy create a wonderfully relaxing vacation spot. They literally made us feel like family, inviting us to join them at the movies and the local visiting midway.
We liked the intimacy of meeting new people who, like us, don't care for large, impersonal high rises. The yard is beautiful and the beds are very comfortable (I find Mexican beds tend to be very hard, as a rule.) They are located in close proximity to good, small, local restaurants where a very satisfying meal for two comes to a total of about $6. Although they are situated about 10 blocks back of the main square, we seldom took taxis anywhere. About the only downside is that nice beaches are a $5 cab ride away.
We couldn't have asked for a better honeymoon. Everything and I do mean everything that has been said about Dale and Kathy is true. The rooms are better than any hotel and the food is unbelievable. We're so spoiled now; we can never go anywhere else ever again. The diving was fantastic. A major thank-you to Troy and Chino. I'm still heartbroken from having to leave.
Dale and Kathy provide excellent accommodation, beautiful, relaxing surroundings, and wonderful breakfasts, with something different every morning. They are always eager to help guests enjoy their stay, providing information and contacts for all activities. One of the most enjoyable aspects is the interesting people we have met during our 2 visits. As Arnold said, "We will be back".
Dale and Kathy made our trip the best ever! Staying at the Baldwin House is like staying with family except you don't have to be around them all the time, they are there when you need them though. Kathy arranged our snorkeling trip for us and we had a wonderful time. Dale recommended great restaurants that were inexpensive with fabulous food.
We could not have asked for anything more except time. We will be back next year.
We had our best vacation ever staying with Dale and Kathy at Baldwin's Guest House. This was our first B&B experience and we loved it. The house and grounds were absolutely gorgeous. They have worked hard to make this a tropical paradise in the middle of a typical Mexican neighborhood, which only adds to the experience. Dale and Kathy make you feel welcome from the moment you step through the gates. They are very helfpul with suggestions, making reservations, calling taxis, giving directions, making restaurant recommendations, you name it and they are happy to help. Kathy makes a wonderful breakfast and Dale's secret Margaritas are a great way to end a busy day. You will never be sorry you stayed. We are hoping to go back as soon as possible!
Dale and Kathy do a fine job of making you feel right at home. We did not know quite what to expect when we booked for two weeks. We did not want to leave !!! They do real well at helping you out on all the little and not so little things that would be good to know when you arrive but you don't. Then there's also the friendly people that you can meet during your stay. When the time came to leave I felt like I had known Dale and Kathy for a long time. We will be back!!
If you have any reservation (no pun intended) about staying at Baldwin's Bed & Breakfast, you have nothing to worry about. Outstanding hospitality! Dale and Kathy feed you the most delicious breakfasts on the island. The relaxing and homey atmosphere makes you feel like you have a home away from home. They pay attention to detail, and take pride in going out of their way to assist you with anything you require, without the least bit of intrusiveness. We thoroughly enjoyed getting tips on local eateries. If you need anything arranged, from vehicle rental to excursions or diving, they can do it for you; just ask. If you dive or snorkel, you have a rinse tank and gear drying area right on site.
As long as Baldwin's B&B is around, we'd never stay anywhere else in Cozumel. We already have next March break booked already. Thanks Dale and Kathy for a wonderful stay; see you next time around. Eric & Paulette Beck, Oshawa, Ontario
We stayed at the Baldwin's in the beginning of April 2004. The room (Las Casitas) was SPOTLESS and cozy. It had a kitchenette, living area and a bedroom. The furniture reflected a traditional tropical bed and breakfast style. Dale and Cathy served delicious breakfasts and were very helpful in directing us to the right places for diving, car rental & etc. Although we never used the small pool, it looked very inviting.
The other guests were welcoming, and on the first night, we sat around talking and drinking beers. SAVE YOUR MONEY! Stay here. We saw what large resorts had to offer, and even though they claim to be and are "ocean view", THEY HAVE NO BEACH and are over looking the port! The beautiful beaches of cozumel are on the other side of the island where there are no hotels. The Baldwins are located in the town of San Miguel are a great value for what we received. Well, maybe I'm exaggerating, but when my husband and I visited in December of 2003 for our 1st wedding anniversary, we didn't expect the fabulous margaritas or the wonderful hospitality of Kathy and Dale. We met some great people from all over and when we had to leave to go to Playa del Carmen for the second half of the vacation, I almost cried! It was like leaving long lost family. The atmosphere at the guest house is fantastic. It's is the middle of town, nowhere near a beach, by Kathy will help you navigate! We plan to go back as soon as we can.

A: "NO, it is absolutely not possible; far far too far! Sorry.......but Mexico City is wonderful and needs at least 3 days."
