Take pictures under water
by Maria_75
If you don't have a camera or videocamera that you can use under water, you should concider buying an Aquapac or something similar. It's a waterproof "pocket" where you can put your camera and take pictures down to 2 metres under water. There is so much to see in the sea here, so you should really have something for take pictures under water.
Cool bar !!
by rafgys about Bali
It’s supposed to be one of the best nightclubs in town, and sure it is! The decoration is amazing... like if you were in Indonesia (I guess, I've never been there though!). Music is great and on high season, it's always packed. Trendy ...
Great quesadillas!
by caribe_utopico about No name =)
There is this "cart" selling quesadillas by the bus station right on Avenida Juarez and Quinta Avenida corner. It was the only one I saw, but there may be more.
By far, the best quesadillas I've ever had. These are real quesadillas! The only one you meant?
A funny place with swings
by tashka
It's a bar in the 5th Avenue in Playa del Carmen. You will not miss it, it's right in the avenue, somewhere in the middle of it.
The place is remarkable for having swings instead of bar stools. It's funny and in fact very comfortable!
The bar serves very good margaritas. Margarita
Dolphin Encounter/Swim
by Vallelde
On our last trip to Playa del Carmen we decided to swim with the dolphins. There are many options.
We had talked to people who had minimal contact with the dolphins and had ended up being disappointed. After asking around we contacted our tour group representative in the hotel lobby. I am happy to report at all of the four hotels that we stayed at in Playa tour operators were very visable at all. Our GOGO representative recommended the Dolphin Swim at Wet and Wild in Cancun. There are three levels....encounter, swim and a day of learning.Cost is based on amount of actual contact time with dolphins. We went with the swim which was middle of the road. Bus picked us and several others up at our hotel and trip was an hour long. Lunch was on your own. The dolphin area was impressive. Lots of area on the open ocean. We had about a half hour to forty five minutes actually in the water with them. We had a group of about six and two dolphins in a private area. We swam around with them, could pat them, had them kiss us....lots of contact. Lastly as we lay on our stomachs in the water each dolphin choose a foot and pushed us off and up out of the water! Really neat. Everything is photographed and videotaped for you....of course at a cost but worth it. Cost was slightly expensive...around $100US for adults, slightly less for kids. Well worth it. Many species of dolphins. People were knowledgeable and very informative. Dolphins seemed to be very well cared for. A highlight of our trip.
