Coco Rio

We stayed one night at the Coco Rio in Playa Del Carmen before heading over to Cozumel.
I would have loved to stay longer..... It is just off 5th Ave at Calle 26 - on the Northern and Quieter side.
Checking in was very efficient in the pretty lobby. We walked through a little courtyard with a fountain and lush vegetation to our quaint room. As we were staying only one night we bad booked a standard room. It was quite sparse, but very clean. Some of the other rooms were larger and had balconies. After walking around PDC, suffering jet lag we decided to eat in the adjacent restaurant - very good so had breakfast there too.
The service at Coco Rio was excellent with very good English language. There was a book exchange too for those who need a book to read.
Definately would stay again.
Next time though will take the Shuttle from Cancun airport a lot cheaper!. We had arranged transfer through the hotel - and there was a big mixup - so we were waiting at the airport for over half an hour.

Unique Quality: Good location - only 1/2 block from frenetic 5th Ave - but quite a long walk to the ferry.
Lots of restaurants and bars around. 2 blocks from the beach - a lovely walk into the main area of PDC.

Directions: Northern end of 5th Ave.
