Tamales to go!
Walking down 30 Av on Thanksgiving brought me this yummy dinner...Tamales served from a bike! He had 3 different kinds and i opted for pollo verde (chicken w/ green chili). Ask for fixins before he wheels away!

If it's all inclusive, why don't the rooms have fully stocked bars in them like many other all-inclusives. Why is there a depressingly low level of entertainment there. Why does the main pool close in the evenings? Why is the "beach" littered with 20' long black bags filled with sand? They look like beached whales? Why would the desk staff ,who operate 24/7 refuse to give a wake up call to your room, despite your orders with the claim,"it's too early".
If you are looking to be Bored out your skin, for the 4 or 5 thousand dollars you might have spent to stay there, then you have found the right place. Otherwise, If you're looking to have someFUN, I might suggest you try any one of the great all-inclusives in Jamaica. You get much more "Bang for the Buck"
there and are better treated and appreciated..
I guess you forgot to take the big L off your forehead before you checked in.
1. They have staff that delivers anything you want when you ask.
2. Some vacationers consider their family and friends entertainment
3. So 99% of guests won't be bothered by Yahoos
4. To maintain the sand they have from erosion due too bad pier placement.
5. The dreaded Black Plastic Whale?
6. This just doesn't make sense.
7. Thank you.
8. re-read point 3.
9. banging is sometimes free
Jeepers, I'd hate to disagree with you Steve but but but those black bags filled with sand are at least 50 feet long!!!

Here's the stair case you climb to the top, and with more difficulty to the bottom. With a little bit more difficulty if you have a fear of heights or falling. I have both! Yet with the help of that rope down the middle, I made it.
Chances are excellent you can too!
If you are going to Chichen Itza via Vallodolid, this would be a recommended stopover. While noted as the best place to eat in Vallodolid, the prices are not really much higher than neighboring places in town. Compared to what visitors pay in Cancun or Playa del Carmen, it's a bargain. The atmosphere can't be beat: tables are placed around the old colonial era courtyard. Friendly service too.
I guess also a place where you can eat all day but I always went there for breakfast and it was very good. They were very flexible and took care of you and your wishes.
When I was done I could check my mails quickly in the internet for free inside the Café.
i took one of the cenote tours close to playa del carmen (mayan zip-line, riviera may). i thought it was worth the time and money. don't expect a lot of lingering for wildlife viewing, but definitely a way to see the cenote's and see how the mayan culture permeates the yucatan.

Q: Transportation and Things To Do "Hi VTers, What's the best way to get to Playa Del Carmen from Cancun airport? We're travelling with an 8 mo old baby. Also..."
A: "Take either the shared buses which can be picked up at the airport as you exit the customs area and just before you leave the building. This is the best and easiest way..."
