Great value in Playa del Carmen
Stayed here for 5 nights. Was down for a wedding, and most attendees stayed here (wedding was on the beach across the street). Everyone was satisfied.
Mateo and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were very clean. Had A/C. I wish they had a chair though!!
The only room for improvement would be the lax security. They ask you to leave your key at the reception (to ensure you don't leave the A/C on, as it requires your key to operate), but anyone can pretty much hop back there unnoticed and grab any key. They do provide a safe however, so this isn't really an issue. As always, keep your valuables locked up or on your person and you'll be fine.
Unique Quality: Great access to the up & coming North end of Playa del Carmen. Fabulous access to the North beach which tends to be a bit more exciting. Lots of stuff going on. Nice little plunge pool to cool you off, and a nice semi-outdoor sitting area for guests with TV/water/coffee, etc.
I recommend this place to anyone and will stay there again if I ever return to PdC.

Posada Freud belongs to my friend,its nice,is located in 5th avenue,downtown!!
