More about Paradise Hotel

FANTASTIC HOTEL IN THE HEART OF PLAYA!!!!!

by TripAdvisor Member Bajo954

We stayed at the Hacienda Paradise for our Honeymoon for two weeks in November. We had the best time of our lives.
The rooms are very clean. The beds are huge and comfy. The service there cannot be beat!
We were treated so kindly by everyone at the Hacienda Paradise.
The hotel is right in the heart of Playa del Carmen, close to shopping, restaurants and bars. We have travelled many places but always come back to Playa because the people are so nice!
We are planning on coming back to the Hacienda Paradise in March, we loved it so much!
Thanks again for making our Honeymoon so perfect!!!!

Great North End Location

by TripAdvisor Member 413illini

We stayed at Hacienda Paradise from Dec1-Dec10. We have been going to Playa del Carmen for the last 5 years to vacation and have never stayed this far north. We found this location great. Close to every thing we wanted to do. We found the hotel clean, comfortable, and quiet. Altough they were doing some construction on the site nex door to the hotel. The construction noise would start at about 7 am. They provide a nice continental breakfast and anything extra could be gotten for a fee. The pool and courtyard were very nice. However, I seldom saw them in use by the guests. Paolo (the owner) and his staff were both very helpful and gracious. We would highly recommend Hacienda Paradise for your next Playa vacation.

Great stay & Great hotel..!!!

by TripAdvisor Member beachbum073

My Husband and I stayed at the Hacienda Paradise in Playa del Carmen the last week of Nov. 08. We decided to take a last minute trip and got a really good deal online. This was our 3rd time to the area and was our best experience yet. The Hotel was great, the rooms were very nice and new, awesome beds, and beautiful furniture. The bathrooms were all done in marble and exceptionally clean.
The Hotel itself is very close to everything that you need as its situated between 10th and 5th Avenue. The Beach is only a few blocks away which you can walk to in under 5 mins.
Staff was very friendly and accommodating, even doing a few "favours" for us. They have a free internet center which was a shock seeing as most hotels/resorts charge for this. We did not realize this and my Husband had brought his laptop, which came in very handy as the Hotel even has wireless!!! Their property and gardens are very well kept with beautiful plants throughout. The breakfast is your typical continental style but we even ordered off the menu as the prices seemed cheaper than most of the restaurants along 5th Ave.
I read another review on here about the noise bugging them, but we did not notice anything that I would consider too loud. The whole city itself is going through upgrades and improvements, which is nice to see and one of the reasons we would go back in the future. This area is becoming a hot spot for Beach weddings which was also nice to see.

We will definitely be going back to stay at Hacienda Paradise again!!!

Fantastic hotel and honeymoon location

by TripAdvisor Member travel_addict72

We booked Hacienda Paradise through Expedia at one of the busiest times of year (between Christmas and New Year's) to celebrate our long-awaited honeymoon. We had been planning to stay on the beach, but everything was booked up - and as it turns out, we couldn't have made a better choice than this hotel!

When we arrived late on Christmas Eve, it turned out that we had been given a room with 2 queen beds rather than one king bed as booked. However, the staff bent over backwards to ensure that we were quickly moved to a gorgeous room with one large (and extremely comfortable!) king-size bed, and also gave us the giant luxurious master suite for the final night of our stay.

Throughout our visit, we found the staff to be incredibly helpful, non-intrusive, friendly, and professional, and the rooms were quiet, brand new, modern, and lovely - especially the bathrooms. Free high-speed internet access and a good continental breakfast every morning were also a nice bonus...though admittedly we usually simply started the day with several large coffees on our balcony overlooking the peaceful central courtyard after hitting the town the previous night.

Maybe we are just heavy sleepers, but we didn't notice any construction noise whatsoever from the new building next door, unless our balcony door was open - and even then, it was mild at worst.

The location is perfect - closer to the newer "north end" of 5th Avenue and the spacious north beach, but also within easy 5-min walking distance of all the bars, restaurants, shops, nightlife etc. between Calle 2-20.

I've been to Playa del Carmen a few times in the last 15 years, and stayed in a number of the smaller boutique hotels, but I can honestly say that this is one of the best I've experienced so far. We will definitely be back to stay at Hacienda Paradise - and thank you again for making our honeymoon so memorable!

Don't plan on swimming

by TripAdvisor Member StewartSn

We stayed at the Hacienda Paradise in early November for several nights, after some careful research. The hotel room itself was very nice, and the staff was great. The swimming pool and courtyard however, was a huge disappointment. Be forewarned that there is a 3 story concrete) building being constructed immediately adjacent to the hotel (maybe an expansion). From 7:00 a.m. on the workers are chipping away at the cement, etc., and there is cement dust, and even splatters of mortar landing in the pool, and courtyard, making both pretty much unuseable. There is construction noise - not really loud, but noticeable. There are tarps up, to hide the construction, but they don't really do the job.
Also be aware that the breakfast is continental, not full American (as we had read) and there is no beach club (also as we had read, before booking). Other than that, it was all good.
The days of course are warm for much of the year, so swimming was an important part of the Playa experience for us. The beach has little shade, unless you are in a beach club....

best family getaway

by TripAdvisor Member MAREYVAL

This is many of family trips we made to Cancun and Playa del Carmen area. My family are often going there for vacations and the first time we spend at la Hacienda Paradise. We liked the hotel very much. Good position for all the attractions and between the 10 and the 5 avenue which has many restaurants and little bars and nice to walk along at night time. The room it’s nice furniture and the bed is so comfortable. The staff is very nice, we book direct and they give us a great service and recommend the best places to eat in town, which change all the time. The price is also good for us to be in a hotel of this style and compare to other hoteles, you don’t see such nice as like this one. Many guests from other countrys are there and we make many new friends. Make us think how Mexico is so popular now to travel and to have all these people come from all over to know Mexico is so good! We will reserve another stay at the hotel in the future!!

We should have stayed longer

by TripAdvisor Member BarbaraEmilia

We were in Honeymoon tour for 21 days and we had the chance to see so many wonderful places. mexico is definetily a place having so much to tell to those are visiting it. From mexico City to Guadalajara and down to Chiapas we have always felt home though being very far away from it. We booked Hacienda Paradise just for three nights since we wanted to see Palya and proceed towards Merida. Everyone made our stay wonderful, from the housekeeping staff, who daily prepared a nice towel decoration, to the reception staff that always had a nice word for us and took care of us while having struggle with Spanish. They perfectly speak English and I also heard other staff talking other languages.Eventually we did not really want to leave. We are seriously thinking of spending twoo weeks next year and by the way we already booked!

great treat

by TripAdvisor Member laura40

We needed a rest and so we headed to Playa del Carmen last November. This mexican vacation town offers good food and nice shopping in the Quinta Avenida, but the beaches are really worth the trip!! So we were happy when we found out that the hotel was really steps to shops, restaurants and the most beautiful beaches, as advertised in the internet site. The hotel is really nice, it is designed and furnished with taste: our room was clean and the oversized bed was so confortable!! So I would say that our vacation was a real treat!

Good experience, recommend!

by TripAdvisor Member LKFMDC

We were apprehensive about what we would find the first time we have ever visited Mexico. Hotels that seemed great on the internet would get bad reviews on this site. After the usual airline nonsense we arrived late at the hotel. Nice exterior, friendly staff. The room was beautiful, BIG BED, comfortable bed. Uh, well, yes, some construction going on next door. And the first morning, no water. I was pretty sure, wow, this is gonna be bad. I was wrong. After first day, when they fixed the water, entire stay was wonderful. Conceirge Christian was great, front desk friendly, rooms wonderful, a good deal and well located, near enough but not in the tourist trap heart. I recommend it

It looks like the reviews are positive on Trip Advisor, it's not right on the beach but it's not a far walk at all and it appears that you have access to a beach club. It's also in a good location for dining since you will not be staying at an all inclusive. I like the idea of staying at a non all inclusive in PDC since there are so many good restaurants but the past few times we've gone, it's simply been cheaper to book a package with an all inclusive and then skip a few meals.

You might also have a look at Playa Maya which is in the same price range, I had it marked as a place to try if we ever go back to a non all inclusive. It is on the beach
