I am going to a resort in Puerto Morelos this month (yay!!) and I want to check out a few night clubs in Cancun on Friday night and Saturday night. I'm sure getting there isn't an issue, but whats a means of inexpensive, reliable, safe transportation back to the resort during the hours of midnight until the early hours of the morning (3-4 am)?
You can hire a taxi and be in a group to back to the resort, or hire a driver for the day, or have a taxi drive you to Cancun and ask if he can pick you up at 3 or 4 am at the exact spot. Get his business car and call him or ask if they have reliable drivers to call to drive you all back at night. Price is negoitable.
Taxis usually hang around the clubs since they know people need a cab ride. With that said, I'm assuming you'll be clubbing with others so that makes it safer. More so, if there are guys in the group.
You should be able to arrange something with the resort. Have them send someone to pick you up at whatever club at whatever time. That will definitely be reliable and safe, but keep in mind they may overcharge you (since its the resort).
Have fun at the resort and clubbin'. Enjoy Cancun. You may find some good times south in Playa del Carmen as well.
Forgot to add......3-4am? C'mon girl, you're in Cancun, a couple more hours won't hurt. Stay clubbin' up in that ..... til you break daylight! Some places stay open all night and then you can find easier transportation in the morning.

Ha ha ha !! Of course 3-4 am was just a thought..I have no problem partying it up all night...just have to make sure to keep my better half drinking and I should b a-ok...Im the partier, he's more reserved! lol! A must is a snorkel trip on the Great Mayan Reef, Mexico's newest Maritime National Park, shows how beautiful a reef can be when protected from cruise ships, jetskis and thousands of visitors. Trips run daily from good dive shops or from the town pier - listen to the guides and help protect the reef. You go out for 2.5 hrs and visit 2 locations for about 40 mins each for 220 pesos, they provide water and a park guide who leads you around the reef. When I am away from PM I miss the friendly smiles every morning, I miss the warm sea breeze and I miss diving on the reef and relaxing amongst the beauty of the underwater world.
one only bag - light weight loose cotton gear, hat that stays on head, sandals upset tummy and diarrhoea meds, seasick meds if you are prone, aspirin, tampons, PLEASE bring biodegradeable insect repellant and sun cream AND if you have trouble getting it ....ask why? hair conditioner underwater camera if you can with a flash! Bring camera film, expensive here. swimmers and bring your own snorkel gear if you have it, there are places just in the shallows here with lots of fishlife Please always bring us a smile and an open mind
That is what happened - I had intended to spend 3 nights here on the way to the Pacific Coast - well that was 16 months ago. After 3 nights I had to ask myself why do I have to leave - I did not have a good answer, so I stayed and fell further in love with this little town.
It is a quiet friendly place that centres around fishing and the tourism created around diving and snorkelling on the reef. Well I had to learn to dive of course. Everyone said you're from Australia you must already know! But I was a city girl and so here was a whole new adventure - one thing led to another, I bought a boat, started a business...
You can't help fall in love with the people here, they really are just interested in enjoying life which can sometimes be frustrating in business but I have learnt a lot about chilling out and intedn to keep doing just that
