Tribal Village
In march of 2003 we were at one of the closest resorts to the south of the police stand on Boca Paila. It's name had just been changed to Tribal Village. Anyone know if it is still around and what the web address is?

I stayed there last March. They said that they were working on setting up a web site... I don't think they ever did... I did get their email address. tribalvillagetulum@yahoo.com.mx.

Oh my god yes!
They're still there...I stayed in Tribal for a few days in July and I miss it so much. We spent an absolute fortune on the food! But don't take that as a sign of bad-pricing, more of the excellence standard of muchies on offer...Mariella is the best cook in the world! If you do stay with them please say hi to her from her little english girls who she called t'he best eaters in the village' (fiona and rebecca)!
God that place is paradise, we stayed in the biggest cabana with some guys we were travelling with, then when we could afford it no more, in one of the smaller ones...I'd recommend both, but the bug cabana 'the castle' as we called it is definately a must, what with it's outside courtyard and cool little furniture.
Ahhh washing with sea water, waking up listening to the waves, going to sleep swininging in a hammock overlooking the carribean sea with all the stars shining for you...the most romantic place in the world.
Take me with you...I love it
