Many vacationers chose to stay on the mainland and enjoy themselves there, however a trip to one or all three of Mazatlan's offshore islands should be on your list of 'things to do'. Just hop on one of the little daysailers, rent some snorkeling gear and head off to my favorite, Deer Island for a snack, a few Pacificos and a swim in its calm, crystal clear waters... I live here in Mazatlan and when I am away, I miss Joe's Oyster Bar. Its a great beachside bar with good food and cold beer. You can hang out inside or in front on the beach all day and come back at night for some more fun and dancing.
Cking out the local bands!

Mazatlan has some very good local bands that end up playing most evenings in hotel lobby's or corner street bars. We enjoy sitting back & listening to local performers playing Rolling Stone, Pink Floyd or J.Lo tunes. They actually are pretty good.
Filet Knife and Freezer Bags!

Be sure if your planning to bring fish back home to pack a good filet knife and freezer bags. You can pack the knife in your checked luggage. Have your fish frozen so you can pack it into ice chest and keep it for future meals. I like to bring gently used clothing with me to give to the people. Clothing and shoes are expensive in Mexico.

Apenas va por su quinta edición y el gran maratón pacifico ya se ha ganado el reconocimiento de los deportistas, críticos y revistas especializadas, así como de las nadie practica esta disciplina deportiva se quiere perder la oportunidad de participar en el gran maratón pacifico, también conocida como la fiesta deportiva de México, el titular anterior se lo ha ganado a pulso el gran maratón pacifico, ya que Mazatlán y el universo deportivo se visten de fiesta con la celebración des destacado evento. A lo largo del recorrido además de los miles de mazatlecos que vitorean a los deportistas, inmensos aparatos reproductores de música, tocan las canciones de moda o más movidas, así que ya se imaginara apreciable lector, la fiesta en grande. No se ha inscrito en el gran maratón pacifico 2003. qué espera cervecería pacifico patrocinador oficial.

More of a timing issue, in December the Feast of the Immaculate Conception is held at and around the cathedral. I was lucky enough to happen upon it this year. Since it's really a locals' festival, the food, entrtainment, activities, not to mention the prices, were geared toward them.
There were about 40ish of these backdrops all around the cathedral where parents could have their kids pictures taken while sitting on a stuffed donkey/deer/horse. ...had to do it.
