Hilton Guadalajara: Great hotel

great customer service, very nice rooms. fantastic breakfast (not included). only drawback was the painfully slow and ultimately useless computers at the business center.

they do have wireless (free for hhonors members) but i wanted to use the BC to print maps.

overall very good hotel. recommend fully

Hostel Casa Vilasanta: Guadalajara's Best Place to Stay

Casa Vilasanta has about 12 or so rooms with ensuite, self-catering kitchen, free internet, large tv, dvd player, laundry and drier and helpful staff.

It is located around 10 mins walk to the centre of town and has a supermarket about 5 mins away. A small corner shop is located just around the corner.

Home cooked lunch is available. The accommodation is very reasonable and the location is very quiet.

Holiday Inn (Central Historical): Excellent Hotel for Foreigner

I paid about 1053 pesos for one night of stay at this hotel. There is a hostel just down the street from this hotel if you are looking for something cheaper for about 120 pesos per night. But be warned there are lots of mosquitos at night. Other hotels around the area will run you about 500 pesos per night but are not as nice as this one.

Located right in the center of the Historic Center
Rooms were spacious and very classy

I go and usually spend a month, so the rourist places are out as I can't afford $100 a night for accomodations. My favorite place is the Hollywood Motel where I get a clean bed, Personal shower and bathroom, lots of hot water, potable drinking water provided in bottles. The rooms are cleaned daily but no TV, Radio. Price is about $120.00 a month.

No pool, no workout facilities, no view, just an economical place to stay where you won't get ripped off. $120.00 US a month.
