We have stayed here several times. It is a bit more expensive but worth it for the nice beach it fronts. You can get a nicer place away from the beach for less, but it depends on your priorities. There is a nice restaurant/cantina right next door. The courtyard landscaping is beautiful, and the hotel itself is folk art cute with lots of curves and primary colors. Most rooms have traditional campesino painting reproductions with lots of calla lilies and earthy women. The hot tub is nice with a thatched roof and most times some pleasant and relaxed interchanges with other guests in the evenings. The vendors on the beach are persistent but friendly. They will bargain with you at length until everybody can feel satisfied if you want some of their wares, mostly jewelry. Some local girls also will do elaborate hair-braiding right on the beach very inexpensively. The pool is beautiful with a magnificent view, but who's gonna stop there when you can walk 50 yards further and be in the pleasant warmth of the Sea of Cortez? At the desk they can refer you to folks offering services like clamming, cruises.
Beautiful, relaxed, convenient. Well worth the money. Different rates for weekends and holidays and extra people. Rooms are sort of small and spartan for the price though. But I would stay there without hesitation.
