Vina Del Mar Hotel

I really enjoyed staying here. I had a simple but huge bedroom with a big bathroom and open shower. I loved watching the shrimping boats in the morning from my window. The hotel has a huge cliffside pool with poolside bar and jacuzzi that you can hangout in while watching the sun set right in front of you.
I had a great time getting drunk with all the guests and the old flirty bartender joined in on the sampling of a few (4) margaritas. The restaurant is nice as well, serving good food along the cliffside patio. The sound of the waves hitting the rocks and the wind compliment the romantic setting nicely.
From the hotel it is just a short walk to the malecon and an assortment of shops and eateries. I bought fireworks and in the evening set them off with some local teens on the beach front, it was a nice warm evening and we had a wonderful time.
Rocky point is not snazzy in anyway but it's a great place to just have a good time no matter the standard and this hotel helps out a lot in achieving that.

Directions: Follow Main St. (Blvd. Benito Juarez) towards the water, the road will make a sharp left becoming the Malecon, follow it to the end, it turns into there parking lot.

The Vina del Mar is at the end of the fish market in old town. It's great value for the money, as it's near all the restaurants and only a short cab ride to the night clubs.
