Having spent the last several weeks at some rather nondescript hotels in some nondescript towns, was looking for a bit of comfort in familiar settings. The hotel lobby and pool area are quite nice, but the rest of the building is a little tired for being such a reputable hotel.
The staff was polite and helpful to our questions (however none spoke English, so best if you speak Spanish). The breakfast buffet was also pretty good. These were the best parts of the hotel. The bed was comfortable and I did get a good night's sleep.
However, the rooms had a slightly musty smell even though the furniture and bathrooms appeared to have been recently renovated. I was at the business center for 25 minutes and unable to connect to the internet on either of the computers, there was WiFi but we were unable to connect 50% of the time. The clock/radio is connected to the main power switch for the room, so every time you return, the clock will be flashing 12:00...
Unique Quality: There is a business center, WiFi, swimming pool and gym. Free parking is available in a protected lot.
Directions: Just off of Paseo Tabasco, about 5~10 minutes walk from Museo La Venta
