Do u recommend to rent a car?
by gecor
I'm staying for 4 nights 5 days in veracruz,
those days, at a hotel in Boca del Río.
Do you recommend to rent a car to move within the city?
Please any recommendation si good for me.
:D

Boca del Rio is connected to Veracruz city by an excellent urban bus system, as well as by taxi's - and I don't think renting a car is a wise thing to do.

gomexico is right. + the bus ride takes you along the Gulf coast, and you get a nice breeze from the window (unless you take an a/c bus, nice too) A beautiful ride, I took the bus every day just to look at the sea.
In Veracruz you can walk anywhere, or jump in a cab from the street if you're too tired. A cab from Veracruz Centro to Boca del Rio (say at the Zocalo) is worth about 70 Mexican Pesos.

Maritime Museum

I was surprised how big and interesting this museum was. Telling a lot about seafaring history with little landscapes and boats from all parts of the world and all different cultures, also giving a lot of information on Mexican history, Christopher Columbus and all that. I should have stolen the nice cap that was lying around, but I didn’t even have my picture taken. Nice building also, and entrance is free!!
