charming hotel
We stayed at the Casa del Balam for a week this past February. The hotel's location was excellent; within walking distance of many good restaurants and Meridas' many parks. We loved the vibrant street life surrounding us and fell in love with Merida. The hotel is a quiet refuge from the exciting energy around it. The pool is relaxing, the staff extremely helpful and the rooms quite lovely. As far as breakfast is concerned, you'd be better off going to one of the outdoor places around any town square or park.
