Beautiful Nighttime Lighting at Los Arcos

    by

The pool and tropical gardens were beautiful at night with the many lights in the trees, the main house and the pool itself.

    BEAUTIFUL, COMFORTABLE & PRIVATE

    by

We stayed at this gorgeous and reasonably-priced B & B while in Merida. It's well located a few blocks N. of the town square allowing one to easily walk to the key points of interest. The main house is luxuriously furnished and the two guest rooms at the back of the tropical garden beyond the pool are in separate buildings, casitas, about 12 feet apart. Each is spacious with a large bathroom.

Every morning a full breakfast is served on the patio, weather permitting. David Reed, owner and manager of Los Arcos, lives in the main house and is a welcoming and gracious host. His staff is also very helpful and kind. We felt right at home. And the pool feels great on those very hot days in Merida.

Unique Quality: Beautifully decorated, very private rooms with comfortable beds, gorgeous tropical gardens & wonderful pool with no restrictions on swimming hours, welcoming ambiance, delicious breakfast served whenever you wish and great location are some of the outstanding qualities of this peaceful and quiet little paradise in a big city.

Rates are $65.00 USD for a room with one dble bed and $85.00 USD for two dbles compared to $100 and more for the large hotels.

Lovely place...and lovely people !

by TripAdvisor Member FrenchTr

My husband and I stayed 2 nights in Los Arcos last July.
As you can see on the picture, the place is absolutely lovely and amazing. Taking breakfast in this garden in the morning was the best thing you can do to start a wonderful day.... and swimming in this gorgeous place the best thing to do to end it !
But, above all, David and Jim make you really feel like home, and act like friends. I don't forget also Alberto that saved us and allowed us to visit the whole Puuc road !
It was an unforgettable experience...

What a find....

Los Arcos is beautiful, peaceful, and welcoming. The rooms are nicely decorated and it seems the hosts have gone to extreme measures to make sure your stay is as enjoyable as possible. They are very helpful in planning excursions for you but just as welcoming if you would like to lounge by the pool and just take it easy. They can also help you find local real estate if you are looking to buy in Mexico. Jim is a realtor and can help you find the best places in Merida....but for visits to the area, you will not find a better place than Los Arcos.

Just like home

by A TripAdvisor Member

We visited the Los Arcos B & B three times this past year and each visit was better than the one before. The two "casitas" are located in a private tropical paradise behind the Spanish Colonial home of the owner/operator - David Reed. Each morning we were served a nice breakfast in the garden and then took a swim in the pool. The location is within walking distance to all of the historical centro restaurants and shopping. I recommend this inn - 1 - great location and relaxing atmosphere and 2 - the charming owner and staff. Enjoy.

Wonderful place

My husband and I spent the last night of our honeymoon in this wonderful b&b. I'm so glad we did. The owners are really great and went out of their way to help us out. thanks again Terri and Bunky

Loved Los Arcos

We had a delightful visit this summer at Los Arcos B&B. Beautiful facilities, delightful hosts, tasty food, and a central location combine to make this a great place to stay in Merida.

Peaceful

My daughter and I spent 6 nights at Los Arcos, and could not have been happier with our choice. After active hours around town, it was so nice to "come home" to the frindly and relaxing atmosphere. Great hosts, lovely room, wonderful service. Would want to stay there any time I am in Merida.

We Loved Los Arcos

We stayed at Los Arcos Bed & Breakfast 11/2 --11/9 2005 and found it just as shown on its website: a virtual museum of collectibles and books in the beautifully restored Spanish colonial near the center of the city.
The guest houses to the rear of the garden area past the pool were well appointed, secluded and quiet, and the highwalled pool area provided absolute tropically landscaped privacy. (The resident parrots who joined us occasionally were great, too!)
The genial proprietor David Reed and his major domo, Alberto were wonderful hosts and went beyond breakfast, helping with everything from directions, local information and recommendations to Alberto actually chaffeuring us to Uxmal. An excellent place to stay... homey and friendly.
We'll be back!! Thank you Dave, Jim, and Alberto!!!

Double it Now!

by TripAdvisor Member shed

Having spent much time and research planning my trip to Merida , I was sure I was going to have a fantastic time staying at the Los Arcos. I wasnt prepared however for how much beyond my expectations it was!
The beautiful house and lush private garden jungle- Albertos breakfasts by the pool were the best way to start anyday- the location is incredibly central and in easy walking distance to the historic center- David made us feel at home and completely pampered- his knoweledge of the city and its offerings is invaluable- wether finding a good italian restaurant- the best nachos with a veiw of the square or where to pick up a bus for the beach-
Los Arcos lets you feel that this tropical secluded colonial bungalo is your own - and at the same time you have access to the expertise and graciousness of the awesome hosts-
However much time you are planning to stay at Los Arcos- double it now because believe me you wont want to leave!!

Thanks Again for Everything!
