hostel La Candelaria: hostel La Candelaria

My first choice was to go to this hostel. But it was closed.
think it has some problems or renovation or so. But i know a lot of people arrived at a closed door.
It must be a very nice hostel.
the area is good.

Casa Quetzal: WONDERFUL new B&B

5 rooms built around a wonderfully landscaped courtyard WITH a swimming pool. Very quiet ,excellent rooms with both air conditioning and ceiling fans. WONERFUL breakfasts (come hungry) The womam who owns it is named Judith andshe once lived in Conn. USA and speaks fluent English. She is a great source of tourist tips of what to see and do in Valladolid. The cost is VERY reasonable, especially since it includes breakfast.

Unique Quality: Quiet street / very near the famous 450+ year old convent San Berdino de la Siena. Wonderfully landscaped shaded courtyard with anice swimming pool. Only 5 rooms so the feeling is very private

Albergue la Candelaria: My Favorite Hostel in Mexico

This place is great. They have great self-catering facilities including a nice kitchen and a large outdoor laundry facility. The dorms are clean and airy They have a large living room with cable TV and a really nice garden with hammocks.
They have plenty of information of about the surrounding area and what to do.
Private lockers are provided.
You can rent bikes and visit the town and the cenotes (caves) outside town.
This place is worth coming to Valladolid all on its own.

Unique Quality: The garden in the back is fanstastic. You can relax in the hammocks and read. The whole place is very comfortable and clean. They really make you feel at home.
