La Finca Del Minero Hotel

A great hotel

We chose this hotel because we had used it to get directions to the hotel where we had made online reservations. That hotel never received the reservation from the service provider and they had no rooms (of which we were actually pleased). We returned to La Finca because we saw that they had a secure parking garage as well as a pleasant-looking restaurant and another superb one, La Leyenda, was just next door. Their price was only $700 mx. Our room on the second floor was reached by elevator and a valet unloaded our car for our three-night stay. We had a good-sized room, immaculate, and with a king-size bed, a small balcony overlooking an interior courtyard (hence, a quiet room). The staff was very friendly and helpful and ordered our bus pick-up for the Mina El Eden tour. We were also brought a very efficient fan as it was warmer than usual. Great bed and pillows.

The hotel restaurant served delicious breakfasts for a fair price and the service was impeccable.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone and would stay again. Very conveniently located on Matamoros just three blocks from the Cathedral. They even include in every room a hard-cover tourist book on all the cities in Mexico which was very helpful.

Unique Quality: Potable water from the tap! Even so, we were left two bottles of water daily.
