Chez Helene: Yummy breakfasts and a comfy deck
If you like modern hotels, you might not be happy here. This is really like staying in someone's house. There were a number of different guest rooms, with several shared bathrooms.
The two best things about this bed and breakfast include the breakfasts themselves. There is a lovely breakfast room with skylights. Plenty of fresh pastries from the local bakeries. You can see the breakfast room here: http://www2.st-pierre-et-miquelon.info/cv/11.html
The other thing that we particularly enjoyed was the deck that surrounded the house. Lovely views in nice weather, and also a nice enough place to sit and drink the cheap French wine on foggy days.

Hôtel Robert: St. Pierre's largest hotel/motel
The property is just a 5 minute walk from the ferry terminal. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We used some of our limited French to get by, but the staff had some knowledge of English too. There's a gift shop in the lobby of the hotel stocked with all sorts of St. Pierre et Miquelon souvenirs: clothing, stickers, pins, magnets, postcards, key chains, writing material, etc.
Our spacious room was located in the motel part of the property, the building behind the original hotel. There's a great restaurant on site called La Voilerie.
Unique Quality: The breakfast room offers a superb waterfront view.
Al Capone once stayed in the hotel during the Prohibition Era in the 1920s. His hat is on display in the small museum that is adjacent to the breakfast room.

L'hotel Ile de France: Un petit peu de la France en Amerique du Nord
We didn't actually stay here; however, based on the restaurant and the friendliness of the service staff with whom we had contact, I have no reason to believe that it would not be a thoroughly pleasant place to stay.
Unique Quality: The Ile de France is right in the heart of the downtown area, so it's an easy walk to all the main sights .

Nuits Saint-Pierre: The best spot for sure
Yes, we would definitively recommend Nuits Saint-Pierre.
C'est un peu plus cher que les autres endroits que nous avons pu voir sur internet mais c'est très joli et très bien placé.
Nous avons adoré notre séjour là et j'espère que nous pourrons revenir.

Hotel Robert: Straight from the Prohibition Era
We stayed at Hotel Robert for a couple of nights in June of 2012. As you can tell from most of the reviews on this site as well as others is that Hotel Robert is a bit outdated. I fully agree with this statement (at least regarding the original section of the hotel, which is where we stayed), HOWEVER, I would counter that it is a perfect place to stay in St. Pierre in order to fully immerse yourself in the culture and your surroundings. Overall, was it as elegant as the Trianon Palace in April? No. Was it everything it should be for the area? Yes.
Unique Quality: The staff were exceptional. There were not many English speakers amongst them and my French is sketchy at best but we managed to get through all situations with both parties being pleased at the end.
Also, this place has a rich history dating back to the Prohibition days which St. Pierre played a large role in so you get a chance to immerse yourself in that part of your adventure as well.
