A Victorian gem
This hotel is something of a rose in a weed patch. The main road which passes by it is full of burger joint type restaurants. The hotel itself is a very impressive Victorian building with a pool at the back.
Rooms are either in the main building or in the 3 story annex at the back. We were in the annex. There are 60 rooms altogether, all apparently, but certainly ours, very well furnished and decorated. Spotlessly clean and comfortable.
There is a bar which opens around 4pm and a very good restaurant which serves every evening but Sunday.
We really enjoyed our short stay here. It's just a shame the town itself isn't as good as the info sheet says it is.
We would certainly recommend this hotel and would like to stay again.
A very good buffet style breakfast is included and served in the glass enclosed veranda.
