Snow in Alabama?

"Snow fell on ALabama- January, 2008"

It has been at least 10 years since Birmingham got any amount of snow. This time we got just enough to cover the ground. The children were out in force making tiny snowmen, throwing snowballs, and making snow angels before it melted by mid-afternoon. Birmingham is nestled between two mountains, so travel comes to a standstill when there is any accumulation. This time we were able to travel about and enjoy the dusting of snow. Short, but oh so lovely!
