A quiant little town
I live here in this beautiful town. I have lived here for the past 17 yrs. There is so much to do in Fairhope, whether you are visiting or planning a permant stay. While the south is noted for it's warm weather, even our winter months are not extremly cold, one who is seeking a "green" anecdote will find fullfillment here! The spring is, in my opinion, the loveliest time of year here. The many varieties of fresh blooming flowers, green landscapes, blue skies, the blue-green waters and full, volumptous trees make our town simply breathtaking.
Our southern lifestyle is sure to rub off on anyone near. Life is a gift, to be enjoyed. Our laid back attitude and lack of need to rush everything, make life all the more enjoyable. If you have never visited the South, as we call it, I encourage you to do so.
If you have a palate for good food, this is the place to be. We southerners love flavor! Whether you are sampling some of our feshest seafood or rich country cooking, no palate is disappointed. The area has many phenomenal restaurants sure to please the pickest of eaters.
Recreation is plentiful. If you are an outdoors person you will not be disappointed. We have everything from golf,(the leisure man's sport), all varieties of watersports, fishing, athletics, and for the rugged outdoorsman, even hunting. We are an artists' paradise. Fairhope is proud to call home to many authors, (remember 'Forrest Gump') retired actors, and those with gifted hands for painting and drawing.
Our town has several unique and fun shops from clothing to the whimsical. Antiques are a commodity here and there are plenty of antique shops to pilfer through.
If you are in need of a relaxing trip filled with beauty, tasty creations and hobbies galore, Fairhope is a must see.
