One of the most memorable experiences I've had this year was my trip to the Deep South, a highlight of which was my visit to Gulf Shores. What a fantastic place, even in the cooler temperatures of November! The wide expanse of deep blue and azure ocean with tan beaches and snow-white sand dunes bordering it was breathtaking. The sound of the surf pounding the coastline, the spray rushing up into the air, the mist of the saltwater on your skin, the warmth of the sun on your face, the feel of the silky sand under your feet, the cry of the seagulls overhead...a feast for all the senses! This is as close to heaven as one can get.
