Close to Battleship Park
We chose this spot because it was right next to the Battleship. It's very convenient, not far from I-10 and the room was okay. It's not a fancy hotel by any means and it's showing some age.
There was Plenty of parking when we went and the neighboring rooms were quiet. It's close to downtown Mobile as well.
Unique Quality: The major draw for this hotel is it's close proximity to the Battleship. Other than that, it's a standard hotel.

Handy Location for Us
A very handy location for us with limited time. The Battleship Memorial Park was right at our door and where we planned to visit the next morning. The view from the room was great but all told it was a fairly average motel. No breakfast or room service but a restaurant was at the front of the property which served breakfast lunch and dinner.

Q: Ferry services? "I know there is a ferry from Mobile to Dauphin Island, but I'm looking for a little longer trip. Does anyone know of any ferry..."
A: "I don't think a ferry would be able to make the trip all the way to Mexico. But, look into Carnival Cruise -- they've got a ship that has a home port in Mobile!"
