Another Nice Budget Motel

This motel has a few nice extras like a small refrigerator and a microwave. Motel seemed fairly new and everything was in good repair. The staff was acceptable. Breakfast was what you expect for a Days Inn. Wi-fi worked well. A good deal for those budget minded; but I preferred the Super 8. $65 as of April 2011.

USS ALABAMA Battleship...

by cobrioc

USS ALABAMA Battleship Memorial Park is dedicated to honor all Alabama Veterans who have participated in all conflict of the United States Armed Services.
Battleship Park has been self-sufficent since opening

The recipent of mine WWII...

by cobrioc

The recipent of mine WWII Battle Stars, the Battleship USS ALABAMA and her crew of 2,500 saw action in the Atlantic for a year before joining the Pacific Fleet in mid-1943. There she fought at such key locations as Leyte, the Gilbert Islands and
Okinawa .After the signing of the war-ending surrender
documents in September 1945, USS ALABAMA, or the
'Mighty A', as she was known, led the American Fleet into Tokyo Bay.
There is so much to see at Battleship Park.

Sonnier's Fine Dining

by SeaBreezeUSA

Sonnier's Fine Dining
Intimate atmosphere with signature dishes created by Chef Ashley Sonnier prepared with French Creole and Cajun influence will be one meal not soon forgotten. The exquisite mixture of flavors will delight your taste buds!! I really do not have a favorite dish. My tastes vary widely, so just come and enjoy YOUR favorite dish!!

Battleship Park

by PA2AKgirl

I'm not the best person to write this tip because ever since I was little, my family has dragged me from place to place to see battleships. I have no interest in this stuff--each one looks the same to me. BUT, as far as having more a variety, I do like Battleship Park. Not only is there a large ship, but there's planes, a submarine and even a rose garden. There's a little cafe on board the ship where you can wait for people who are a little more enthusiastic about seeing 40 battleships a year.
This one does have a history, too...it was the ship that led the fleet to Tokyo in 1945, it was known as the "mighty A"
They have stuff on the Tuskegee Airmen and you can get inside the submarine

the museum of mobile is an excellent place to visit to learn about the history and culture of south alabama and mobile. the museum is located in the historic 1857 city hall. the museum has exhibits on the original native americans of the region, the french, spanish, and english periods, and early america and the confederacy. the museum of mobile also hosts traveling exhibitions from other museums from around the world.

A: "I don't think a ferry would be able to make the trip all the way to Mexico. But, look into Carnival Cruise -- they've got a ship that has a home port in Mobile!"
